If your cursor stays visible and you can’t turn fully in a match of STAR WARS™ Battlefront™ II, one player reported fixing it by disabling both the EA and Discord overlays. That is an unverified community workaround, not an official fix. A similar-sounding cursor-aim problem has also been reported in Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN), but it involves different controls and may need a different approach.
First, identify which cursor problem you have
The phrase “can’t turn 360 degrees” most closely matches a July 3, 2025 Steam Community post about STAR WARS™ Battlefront™ II: the player said the cursor remained visible during matches and they could not turn fully. A separate UEFN issue involves a character failing to turn toward the cursor while using a particular camera and control setup. The reports do not establish a shared cause.
| Clue | Battlefront II report | UEFN reports |
|---|---|---|
| Software | STAR WARS™ Battlefront™ II | Unreal Editor for Fortnite project |
| Symptom | Mouse cursor stays visible during a match; player says they cannot turn 360 degrees | Character sometimes stops turning toward cursor aim or cannot rotate freely to shoot in other directions |
| Reported setup or trigger | EA and Discord overlays were involved in the player’s reported workaround | Fixed Angle Camera, Third Person Controls with Twin Stick facing, and Target Cursor aim; reports mention respawn, hiding and unhiding, teleporting, startup, or Physics being enabled |
If neither description fits, identify the game or editor, version, platform, and exact steps that trigger the problem before applying a fix intended for one of these reports.
Battlefront II: try disabling both overlays
In the Steam thread, the player later wrote that they needed to disable the EA overlay and the Discord overlay. The post does not say which one mattered, identify the game version or operating system, or provide independent confirmation, so treat this as a troubleshooting step rather than a guaranteed diagnosis.

- Enter a match and check whether the cursor disappears and full turning returns.
The same player said windowless mode, fullscreen, and Alt+Enter had not solved the problem for them. Those display-mode changes therefore are not a supported fix for this report.
UEFN: check the camera and control conditions
If this is happening in your own UEFN project, compare the setup and trigger with the community reports rather than assuming the Battlefront II overlay issue applies. The main report involved a top-down character, a Fixed Angle Camera, Third Person Controls set to Twin Stick, and Target Cursor aim mode.

- Note whether the character stops tracking the cursor at startup or after elimination and respawn.
- Check whether hiding and unhiding with a hiding prop or teleporting precedes the behavior.
- If the project uses the Physics setting alongside Fixed Angle and Twin Stick controls, record whether the issue occurs with that setting enabled.
These details help distinguish the reported circumstances; they do not establish a root cause. In the main thread, switching to Dual Aim did not fix the problem for the original creator. A related report said limited yaw persisted after update 38.0, but it concerned a distinct setup and does not show that every UEFN case behaves the same way.
UEFN workaround: treat remove-and-readd controls as an experiment
A commenter in the main UEFN thread shared a Verse workaround that removes Third Person Controls after elimination, waits 10 seconds, and adds the controls again. Another commenter suggested removing and re-adding controls around teleports, but said they were still implementing and testing that approach. Neither suggestion is established as a reliable general fix.

If you test the first approach, do it in a copy or controlled test of the affected project and check the same trigger that causes the fault. Epic issue FORT-1014775 was closed on April 22, 2026 because the issue could not be reproduced; that closure does not confirm that every affected project was fixed.

A separate Unreal Engine discussion describes cases where setting an actor’s rotation can conflict with controller yaw rotation, and discusses interpolating control rotation instead. That is general advice, not a demonstrated fix for either the Battlefront II overlay report or the specific UEFN device issue. Avoid changing rotation logic unless it matches your project’s movement and camera setup.
