cximagecrt100.dll is a ManyCam library, not a Windows system file. If Windows says it is missing or cannot be loaded, repair or reinstall the ManyCam installation that the failing program depends on rather than downloading the DLL by itself.
The file is associated with the older Windows edition of ManyCam Virtual Webcam, developed and published by Visicom Media Inc. Its reported description is “ManyCam CxImage Library.” Older software inventories list it in the ManyCam program folder, typically under C:Program FilesManyCam.
What cximagecrt100.dll is
cximagecrt100.dll is an application-private DLL bundled with ManyCam. It is not a normal Microsoft runtime and should not ordinarily be present in:
C:WindowsSystem32C:WindowsSysWOW64- The Windows installation media
- A general-purpose Windows DLL folder
The available version information identifies it as a 32-bit file with version 4.0.0.0 and an approximate size of 0.44 MB. Treat those details as identification clues, not as a reason to download a file matching the numbers. The correct copy must come from the ManyCam installation that needs it.

A third-party application may show the error even when you did not deliberately open ManyCam. It may be launching an old ManyCam component, using its virtual webcam, or retaining part of an incomplete ManyCam uninstall.
Messages this error can produce
The wording varies depending on the application and the Windows loader. You may see:
- “The code execution cannot proceed because cximagecrt100.dll was not found.”
- “The application can’t start because cximagecrt100.dll is missing from your computer.”
- “Error loading cximagecrt100.dll.”
- “cximagecrt100.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error.”
- A bad-image dialog containing error status
0xc000007b.
A missing-file message usually points to a damaged, incomplete, quarantined, or incompatible ManyCam installation. A “not designed to run on Windows” message or 0xc000007b can instead indicate corruption, a 32-bit/64-bit mismatch, or a missing dependency.
First fix: repair or reinstall ManyCam
This is the most likely solution because the file belongs to ManyCam. If Windows offers a repair command, try that first. If it does not, perform a clean reinstall from ManyCam’s official Windows download page.

Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Try Windows repair first
- Press Windows + I to open Settings.
- Select Apps.
- Select Installed apps.
- Find ManyCam.
- Select the three-dot menu beside it.
- Choose Advanced options, if available.
- Select Repair.
- Restart the application that reported the DLL error.
The Repair button may not appear for a traditional desktop installation. If it is absent, use Control Panel:
- Press Windows + R.
- Type
appwiz.cpl. - Press Enter.
- Select ManyCam in Programs and Features.
- Choose Repair or Change, if offered.
- Follow the installer prompts.
- Restart Windows and test the affected application.
If the error remains, do not keep repeating Repair. Remove the damaged installation and reinstall it.
Perform a clean ManyCam reinstall
- Save any ManyCam settings or license information you still need.
- Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
- Locate ManyCam.
- Select the three-dot menu and choose Uninstall.
- Complete the removal wizard.
- Restart Windows, even if the uninstaller does not require it.
- Open ManyCam’s official Windows download page in your browser.
- Download the version compatible with your license and operating system.
- Right-click the installer and select Run as administrator.
- Complete the installation.
- Restart Windows again.
- Launch ManyCam, then test the program that displayed the error.
A successful repair normally means the application starts without the missing-DLL dialog. If the failing application uses the ManyCam virtual camera, select the ManyCam camera again in that application after reinstalling.
Do not assume that the newest ManyCam installer must contain every file used by an old caller. A current release can be correctly installed yet still fail to satisfy a legacy application that explicitly expects cximagecrt100.dll. If that happens, contact ManyCam support for a compatible legacy installer or replace the dependent application. Do not obtain the individual DLL from an unverified archive.
Check whether antivirus removed the file
Security software can quarantine or delete a legitimate application file. This is especially likely if the error appeared immediately after an antivirus scan or ManyCam update.

Inspect Windows Security Protection History
- Open the Start menu.
- Type Windows Security and open it.
- Select Virus & threat protection.
- Select Protection history.
- Review recent events.
- Look for an event naming ManyCam, its installation folder, or
cximagecrt100.dll. - Open the event to see its status and location.
Only restore or allow the file when you can confirm that it came from the official ManyCam installer and the detection is a false positive. Microsoft warns that restoring a detected threat can expose the device. If the origin is unclear, leave it quarantined and reinstall ManyCam from its official source instead.
After reinstalling:
- Run a new Windows Security scan.
- Confirm that ManyCam launches.
- Check Protection history again if the file disappears.
- Contact ManyCam or your security vendor if the official installer repeatedly triggers the same detection.
Do not permanently disable antivirus protection just to make the error disappear. If a security product blocks the installer, investigate the detection and restore normal protection immediately after any controlled troubleshooting.
Check the application architecture
The known file information points to a 32-bit ManyCam library. A 32-bit application needs the 32-bit copy of its private DLL and compatible dependencies, even when Windows itself is 64-bit.
Free tools Windows power users keep installed

Do not copy a similarly named DLL from another application. Do not place a downloaded file in System32 or `SysWOW64. The folder name does not make an incompatible DLL work, and copying application files into Windows directories can create new loader conflicts.
To check the failing program’s architecture, use its documentation or contact its publisher. You can also inspect the installation location as a clue:
- Programs under
C:Program Files (x86)are commonly 32-bit. - Programs under
C:Program Filesmay be 64-bit, but this is not conclusive. - An older ManyCam installation may be 32-bit regardless of the Windows edition.
The reliable fix is to install the ManyCam build and dependent application that were designed to work together. If the error changes from cximagecrt100.dll to another missing file after reinstalling, record the new filename rather than replacing files one at a time from the internet.
Repair Visual C++ only as a dependency fix
Visual C++ Redistributable packages and cximagecrt100.dll are not the same thing. Reinstalling Visual C++ does not recreate a missing ManyCam library.
Use this branch when the error also names a Microsoft runtime such as:
vcruntime140.dllmsvcp140.dll- Another file clearly identified as a Visual C++ runtime
Download the package only from Microsoft’s official Visual C++ Redistributable page.

- Open Microsoft’s Latest supported Visual C++ Redistributable downloads page.
- Review the architecture links.
- Download
vc_redist.x86.exefor a 32-bit ManyCam or application. - Run the installer as administrator.
- Choose Repair if that option appears.
- Restart Windows.
- Test the affected program again.
Install the x64 package as well only when a separate 64-bit application requires it. Microsoft’s guidance is to match the redistributable architecture to the application architecture. Current v14 packages support applications built with Visual Studio 2017 and later, while older software may require a legacy package listed on Microsoft’s supported downloads page.
If the only error is cximagecrt100.dll missing, return to the ManyCam repair path. A Microsoft runtime installer cannot restore a vendor-specific DLL.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsUpdate Windows before reinstalling after an update problem
ManyCam’s virtual-webcam guidance recommends installing available Windows updates before reinstalling when virtual-camera communication breaks after an update.
- Open Settings.
- Select Windows Update.
- Select Check for updates.
- Install all available updates.
- Restart Windows.
- Repeat the check until Windows reports that no further updates are available.
- Reinstall ManyCam using the official installer.
- Open the affected application and select the ManyCam virtual camera again.
If the program still cannot communicate with ManyCam, inspect the virtual-camera entry.
Check Device Manager
- Right-click the Start button.
- Select Device Manager.
- Expand Imaging devices. On some systems, the entry may appear under Cameras.
- Look for a ManyCam virtual webcam entry.
- Right-click it and choose Properties.
- Read the status on the General tab.
- On the Driver tab, note the provider and driver status.
- Close the dialog without changing settings unless you know the entry is damaged.
If the device has a warning icon or is missing, reinstall ManyCam and its virtual-camera component from the official installer. Do not download a standalone webcam driver from an unrelated site.
When manually updating a driver, use the hardware or application publisher’s supported package:

Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- In Device Manager, right-click the ManyCam or camera entry.
- Select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for drivers, or select Browse my computer for drivers if you have a verified package.
- Restart Windows.
- Test ManyCam and the affected application.
Manually identifying old camera and chipset drivers can involve checking several hardware IDs, driver dates, and manufacturer packages. Outbyte Driver Updater can scan and show which drivers are outdated; its full version performs the driver installation, but it is not a substitute for reinstalling ManyCam when this vendor DLL is missing.
Repair Windows components when other DLLs are failing
DISM and System File Checker repair Windows components and protected Microsoft system files. They generally cannot restore cximagecrt100.dll, because that file belongs to ManyCam.
Use them when several unrelated Windows DLLs fail, Windows has broader corruption, or the problem followed a system failure.
Run DISM and SFC in the correct order
- Open the Start menu.
- Type Command Prompt.
- Right-click Command Prompt.
- Select Run as administrator.
- Approve the User Account Control prompt.
- Enter this command and press Enter:
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
- Wait for DISM to finish.
- Run System File Checker:
sfc /scannow
- Wait until the scan reaches 100 percent.
- Restart Windows.
- Retry the affected application.
Microsoft recommends running DISM before SFC. If SFC reports that it repaired files, restart and test again. If it reports that it could not repair some files, review the result and return to the ManyCam reinstall path for cximagecrt100.dll.

Repeatedly running SFC and DISM without knowing what changed is poor troubleshooting. Outbyte PC Repair can scan and show system issues; its full version performs repairs, but it is optional, and reinstalling ManyCam remains the definitive fix for this application-specific DLL.
Use System Restore only for a broader recent change
System Restore can help if the error began immediately after a driver, application, or system change and a restore point exists. It rolls back system settings and files but does not normally remove personal documents.
- Press Windows + R.
- Type
rstrui.exe. - Press Enter.
- Select Next.
- Choose a restore point dated before the problem began.
- Select Scan for affected programs, if available.
- Review the changes.
- Select Next, then Finish.
- Allow Windows to restart.
- Test ManyCam and the affected application.
Use this as a fallback, not as the first response to a missing ManyCam file. If the restore does not help, reinstall ManyCam from its official installer.
What not to do
Do not download the DLL separately
Random DLL download pages cannot prove that a file matches the required ManyCam build, architecture, dependencies, or signature. The file may be modified, corrupted, mislabeled, or intended for a different application. It may also conceal the real problem: a damaged ManyCam installation, antivirus quarantine, or an old application calling a newer unsupported release.

- The original ManyCam installer
- ManyCam’s official Windows download page

Do not copy it into System32 or SysWOW64
ManyCam should load its private library from its own installation directory. Copying the file into a Windows directory does not repair the owning application and can cause Windows or another program to load the wrong build.
Do not run regsvr32 on this file
There is no verified evidence that cximagecrt100.dll is a self-registering COM or ActiveX server. Application libraries normally load by path and do not need registry registration.
regsvr32 works only when a DLL provides the expected registration entry point. If it does not, Windows commonly reports that DllRegisterServer was not found or the registration failed. Registration will not recreate a deleted file, correct its architecture, or repair ManyCam.
Do not clean the registry for this error
Registry cleaners do not replace a missing application library. They can remove useful settings and make later repair harder. Focus on ManyCam’s installer, its virtual-camera driver, and the dependency named by the actual error.
Do not whitelist an unknown file
A filename alone cannot prove that a DLL is safe or malicious. Check its origin, installation path, digital signature, and antivirus result. If the file came from an unofficial archive, remove it and reinstall ManyCam from the official source.

FAQ
Is cximagecrt100.dll a Windows file?
No. It is associated with ManyCam Virtual Webcam and should not normally be expected in the Windows system directories.
Can I download cximagecrt100.dll from a DLL website?
No. Use the original ManyCam installer or a compatible package supplied by ManyCam support. A standalone download may be the wrong build or architecture and may introduce a security risk.
Will installing Visual C++ fix it?
Not usually. Visual C++ can supply a separate dependency, but it does not recreate the ManyCam CxImage Library. Install or repair it only when the error names a Microsoft runtime or the application requires it.
Should I install both x86 and x64 Visual C++ packages?
Install the architecture required by the application. A 32-bit ManyCam or caller generally needs the x86 package. Install x64 as well only for a separate 64-bit application that requires it.
Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?

The old application may require a legacy ManyCam build that the current installer no longer includes. Ask ManyCam support for a compatible version rather than copying the DLL from elsewhere.
Should I register the file with regsvr32?
No. There is no verified indication that this application library is a self-registering DLL. Repair the ManyCam installation instead.
What if the file is present but Windows still rejects it?
The file may be corrupted, mismatched with the application architecture, or missing a dependency. Reinstall ManyCam, check any additional DLL named in the message, and use the Microsoft runtime branch only when appropriate.
Is the file malware?
The filename alone cannot establish that. Verify its location and provenance, review antivirus results, and replace questionable copies with files from the official ManyCam installer.
