Spoilers for Cyberpunk 2077 and Phantom Liberty. Cyberpunk 2077 has five broad base-game finale paths, including a hidden solo assault, and Phantom Liberty adds a route to the distinct Tower ending. That count can be confusing: a finale route is not the same as an epilogue. The Star, The Sun and Temperance are outcomes that can follow more than one assault route, while The Devil has an additional decision that changes V’s fate.
How many endings does Cyberpunk 2077 have?
Counting broad routes, the base game has five: Hanako’s Arasaka plan, Panam’s Aldecaldos plan, Rogue’s plan, the hidden solo assault and the rooftop suicide outcome. Phantom Liberty adds access to The Tower. The number of distinct outcomes is larger because the final choice after some routes determines whether V returns to the body or gives it to Johnny, and The Devil has its own final decision.

This distinction between route and epilogue is useful when comparing guides: the same epilogue can follow different finale routes. Base-game endings and how to reach them
The Star: All Along the Watchtower
Complete Panam’s side jobs to make the Aldecaldos available as V’s allies. At the rooftop decision during Nocturne OP55N1, choose Panam’s plan. After the assault, choose for V to return to the body through the Well. V leaves Night City with the Nomads and a chosen community. The ending leaves V’s remaining time uncertain rather than promising a cure. (PowerPyx; RPG Site)

The Sun: Path of Glory
Complete Rogue’s side-job route and choose her plan at the rooftop, or finish the hidden solo assault. At the later choice, select V’s return to the body. V becomes an Afterlife legend and takes on a dangerous mission; the game does not establish how much time V has left. (PowerPyx; RPG Site)
Temperance: New Dawn Fades
After the Panam, Rogue or solo assault, choose to cross the bridge with Alt and leave V’s body to Johnny. Johnny keeps the body and eventually leaves Night City. Temperance is therefore a final choice available after several routes, not a separate rooftop plan. (PowerPyx; RPG Site)

The Devil: Hanako’s Arasaka route
Accept Hanako’s offer at the rooftop and follow the Arasaka route. Its ending includes a further decision about V’s fate and Arasaka’s engram offer, so the route does not have only one outcome. Takemura’s survival during Search and Destroy affects related content and achievement conditions, but is not what unlocks the core Arasaka route. (PowerPyx; RPG Site)
Path of Least Resistance
At the rooftop, V can choose to end the story immediately by suicide. This is a distinct outcome rather than a route into one of the other epilogues. (PowerPyx)

Hidden solo assault
The secret route becomes available through specific conversation choices during Chippin’ In and subsequent Rogue-related content. At the rooftop, wait through the dialogue instead of selecting one of the offered plans. The resulting assault is a demanding combat route; if V reaches its conclusion, the later choice still leads to The Sun or Temperance. Do not treat a displayed relationship percentage as a substitute for the required conversation choices. (PowerPyx)
Phantom Liberty choices and The Tower
The expansion’s major branch is the Firestarter decision. It determines whether Songbird escapes or is captured, and sets up different missions and later choices. The Tower becomes available through specific outcomes in which Songbird is handed to Reed alive or spared after the capture route.

Help Songbird escape
Choosing Songbird’s escape at Firestarter leads to The Killing Moon. From there, V can defend her or surrender her to Reed. Handing her over alive can lead to the NUSA cure offer and, if V accepts the follow-up, the Tower epilogue. (GameSpot; PowerPyx)

Choosing Reed’s plan at Firestarter leads to Somewhat Damaged. At the end of that route, V can kill or spare Songbird. Sparing her can lead to the same NUSA cure offer and Tower follow-up. The capture and escape branches therefore differ in their missions and Songbird’s circumstances, even where they can converge on the Tower. (GameSpot; PowerPyx)

The Tower: Things Done Changed
The Tower leaves V alive and cured of the Relic, but the cure carries major physical and personal consequences. It is a separate, bittersweet epilogue—not an uncomplicated good ending. To reach it, complete the relevant Songbird/Reed outcome, then take the follow-up Who Wants to Live Forever and complete Things Done Changed. The Tower does not return V to the usual post-finale world: CD PROJEKT RED Support says, “As there are no rewards gained during this epilogue, we allow the game and V’s story to simply end.” (CD PROJEKT RED Support)

There is no single ending that resolves every part of V’s story favorably. The routes trade off V’s autonomy, apparent prospects, relationships, community and legacy. The Star prioritizes leaving Night City with the Aldecaldos; The Sun preserves V’s legend and ambition in the city; Temperance gives Johnny the body; The Devil follows Arasaka’s offer; and The Tower trades V’s former life and capabilities for survival without the Relic. Romance and earlier quest outcomes can affect details, so compare the kind of future each ending offers rather than looking for a universally best result. (PowerPyx; RPG Site)
Can you keep playing after an ending?
For the Tower ending, no: after completing Things Done Changed, the game does not return to the Point of No Return. CD PROJEKT RED Support explains that the epilogue is intended to end the game and V’s story. (CD PROJEKT RED Support)
