What are the best Cyberpunk 2077 settings for Steam Deck?
- Choose the in-game Steam Deck graphics preset. It is a sensible first profile, but Valve’s Verified label does not establish that it is the best-performing profile for every Deck or game version.
- Keep the display at the Deck’s native resolution. Valve’s Verified criteria refer to the Deck’s default 1280×800 or 1280×720 display resolution, depending on the device. Begin there rather than changing resolution before you know what needs improvement.
- Leave ray tracing off. The official sources cited here do not provide Deck-specific ray-tracing benchmarks to justify enabling it.
- If you need a change, adjust one thing at a time. Lower demanding graphics options first, or compare the game’s built-in upscaling options individually. Judge each change by image clarity, base-frame-rate consistency, responsiveness, and power use on your own device; no measured Deck trade-off values are established by these sources.
Valve’s criteria cite 1280×800 or 1280×720, good default settings, and legible text as part of the display experience for Verified games. That supports using the native resolution as a starting point, not a claim that a particular graphics profile or frame rate is guaranteed. Valve’s Steam Deck Verified criteria

Does Cyberpunk 2077 run well on Steam Deck?
Steam currently marks Cyberpunk 2077 as Steam Deck Verified, and CD PROJEKT RED announced that status on February 28, 2023. Verification indicates that a game meets Valve’s compatibility criteria; it is not a promise of a particular frame rate, graphics quality, or battery life. Performance can vary with the game patch, SteamOS version, in-game scene, and Deck model. The official sources cited here do not provide current separate results for LCD and OLED models, or a Phantom Liberty settings comparison. There is therefore no supported FPS or battery-life figure to use as a universal target.

Should you use FSR 3 frame generation on Steam Deck?
Not as a default. CD PROJEKT RED says Cyberpunk 2077 supports FSR 2.1 and FSR 3, and recommends a minimum 60 FPS baseline before enabling FSR 3 frame generation. That is the developer’s recommendation, not a measured Steam Deck result; the official information here does not establish that the Deck sustains that baseline in the game. Leave frame generation off unless you measure a stable 60 FPS base rate on your own device. Do not treat generated frames as proof that the underlying game is delivering a stable 60 FPS. If you want to compare upscaling options, test them separately and evaluate clarity, responsiveness, and consistency as well as the displayed frame rate. The available official information does not quantify those trade-offs on Steam Deck.
