Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.13 arrived for PC on September 12, 2024, adding AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 (FSR 3) with Frame Generation. It also added Intel XeSS 1.3 and several other graphics and settings changes. Patch 2.13 was not a console update, and its feature list is now historical: Update 2.3 later introduced support for AMD FSR 4 and FSR 3.1 Frame Generation.
What did Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.13 add?
CD PROJEKT RED’s Patch 2.13 notes list the following changes for Cyberpunk 2077 and Phantom Liberty on PC:
- AMD FSR 3 with Frame Generation: the update added support for FSR 3 upscaling and its separate Frame Generation option.
- Intel XeSS 1.3: the game gained support for this version of Intel’s upscaling technology.
- DLAA with DLSS Ray Reconstruction: players can enable the two options at the same time.
- A new Utilities settings tab: HDD Mode, Hybrid CPU Utilization, and AMD Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT) options were moved there.
- Other fixes: the patch included stability and visual fixes.
CD PROJEKT RED said Cross Progression would continue to work despite version differences between PC and console. That did not make Patch 2.13 a console release; the update itself was for PC.
Does Patch 2.13 support FSR 3 Frame Generation?
Yes. Patch 2.13 added FSR 3 with Frame Generation, but Frame Generation is not a standalone toggle in this implementation: FSR 3 upscaling must also be enabled. CD PROJEKT RED’s FSR 3 support page states, “FSR Frame Generation can only be used when AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 upscaling is enabled.”

The game also retains FSR 2.1 as an alternative. Choose between FSR 2.1 and FSR 3 based on your preferred balance of image quality and performance; Frame Generation specifically requires FSR 3 upscaling. The official guidance does not publish benchmark results for particular GPU models, so it cannot establish which setting will perform best on a given PC.
How to turn on FSR 3 Frame Generation
- Open Cyberpunk 2077’s graphics settings and enable AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 upscaling.
- Enable the separate Frame Generation setting. It is available only while FSR 3 upscaling is enabled.
- Check your starting performance and display refresh rate before playing with Frame Generation enabled. CD PROJEKT RED recommends a baseline of at least 60 FPS and a 120 Hz-or-higher monitor.
The developer warns that a lower baseline frame rate can make visual artifacts more noticeable and may cause frame-pacing problems. A lower-refresh-rate monitor can also lead to frame-time issues. These are recommendations and cautions, not a guarantee that Frame Generation will run well on every system.

Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling and drivers
CD PROJEKT RED says Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling must be enabled. It is on by default in Windows 11. For Windows 10, the support article directs players to enable it in Windows Graphics settings and restart the PC. The same page lists AMD driver 32.0.11037.4004, NVIDIA driver 556.12, and Intel driver 32.0.101.5972; those are dated requirements from the support guidance, not current driver recommendations. Check your GPU vendor for current drivers.
Is Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.13 available on consoles?
No. CD PROJEKT RED’s September 12, 2024 announcement identifies Patch 2.13 as a PC update. Cross Progression continued to function between versions, but that did not extend this patch’s PC graphics features to consoles.

How Patch 2.13 fits the later update history
Patch 2.13 introduced FSR 3 Frame Generation in September 2024; it should not be described as the game’s current graphics feature set. In its July 16, 2025 Update 2.3 announcement, CD PROJEKT RED listed AMD FSR 4 support and AMD FSR 3.1 Frame Generation among the technology features. Those later additions are distinct from what Patch 2.13 originally brought.
