To finish Psycho Killer, complete all 17 Cyberpsycho Sightings, read each encounter’s required evidence, and send Regina Jones a report after neutralizing each target. The checklist below follows the English quest names and locations reported in Playnews’s patch 2.31 guide, published August 10, 2026. The job’s counter can stall if you only defeat a target or pick up a shard without opening it.
How to complete each Cyberpsycho Sighting
- Reach the marked location and let Regina’s briefing finish. Starting the encounter this way helps ensure the job is active.
- Neutralize the cyberpsycho. The current Playnews guide says lethal and non-lethal outcomes are accepted for completion; you do not need to preserve every target alive.
- Search the scene for required evidence. Pick up and open the relevant shards in the Shards menu. Some encounters have more than one shard, and evidence may be away from the fight.
- Inspect the computer where the encounter calls for it. Playnews specifically identifies computer messages for Ghost of Berlin, Letter of the Law, Lex Talionis, and Discount Doc.
- Send Regina the report through Messages. Defeating the target or collecting evidence alone may not advance the Psycho Killer counter.
If a sighting does not count, revisit the scene, open the shard rather than only collecting it, check for other nearby evidence, and confirm that you sent Regina the report. These steps reflect Playnews’s guide for patch 2.31 (Playnews, August 10, 2026).

The list below uses the English quest titles and names reported by Playnews. Its guide counts six cases in Watson, two in City Center, two in Heywood, two in Pacifica, two in Santo Domingo, and three in the Badlands. The older Gamer Guides overview displays only 15 cases, so it is not a complete checklist (Gamer Guides; Playnews).

Unlocks, routing, and version changes
Playnews reports that most sightings become available after “The Rescue,” while Badlands encounters have story-progress requirements. If a marker is missing, continue the main story and check the job map again rather than assuming the quest is bugged. The guide’s coverage is for patch 2.31, so treat its detailed mechanics as version-specific.
For route planning, group cases by district and handle them as their markers become available. Playnews says enemy scaling changed with update 2.0, making old fixed-difficulty route advice less useful than geographic grouping and story gates. Older walkthroughs may also rely on changed systems such as Breach Protocol against these enemies or obsolete non-lethal weapon mods; do not assume those tactics still apply. Tactical claims about particular quickhack or tranquilizer-ammo immunities are secondary-source guidance, not independently confirmed here.

What happens after all 17 reports?
After the reports are complete, Playnews says Regina calls V to her Kabuki office, where the job’s completion reward can be collected. CD PROJEKT RED’s official Patch 2.11 notes independently confirm that the reward for neutralizing all Cyberpsychos was improved; players who had already received the reward could visit Regina and collect the new one from a weapon crate. The cited official note does not name the item.

Do you need a particular edition or platform?
The sightings are part of the base game; Phantom Liberty and Ultimate Edition are not required. CD PROJEKT RED said Update 2.3 was free to owners of the base game and listed PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and Mac in its Update 2.3 page. Its announcement dated the release July 17, 2025, with Mac release alongside it. If you do not own Cyberpunk 2077, you need the base game (CD PROJEKT RED purchase page).
