The free update added four vehicles, AutoDrive, Delamain cab rides and expanded Photo Mode features. It initially arrived on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with Nintendo Switch 2 availability following later.
When did Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.3 come out?
CD PROJEKT RED published the patch notes on July 16, 2025, saying the update would land “tomorrow” on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. That meant July 17, 2025; the official Update 2.3 page lists that date for automatic downloads by existing owners on those platforms.
The original announcement was not a simultaneous launch across every supported platform. The patch notes said Nintendo Switch 2 availability would come later, while the current official update FAQ lists Switch 2 and Mac among the supported platforms. What did Update 2.3 add?
Four new vehicles
The update adds the Yaiba ARV-Q340 Semimaru, Rayfield Caliburn “Mordred,” Yaiba ASM-R250 Muramasa and Chevillon Legatus 450 Aquila. The patch notes describe side jobs associated with some vehicles and purchase availability for others.

AutoDrive and Delamain rides
AutoDrive can take V’s vehicle toward a selected destination or provide a free-roam ride, with a cinematic camera option. The feature is disabled during combat and when the vehicle is heavily damaged.
Players can also request a Delamain cab from the vehicle menu, but only after completing “Don’t Lose Your Mind” and receiving a message from Delamain.

More Photo Mode controls
Photo Mode gains 27 additional spawnable NPCs, alternate outfits, saved Wardrobe outfits, controls for where characters look, lighting improvements, more stickers and frames, color balance adjustments, and weather and time controls. Players can also advance frames and change game speed to refine a shot.
Platform technology and Mac support
On PC, the patch adds AMD FSR 3.1 Frame Generation, Intel XeSS 2.0 and HDR10+ Gaming support for qualifying hardware and displays. CD PROJEKT RED also describes Apple Silicon Mac support and storefront availability in the patch notes; individual features depend on compatible hardware, software and displays.

Is Update 2.3 free, and do you need Phantom Liberty?
Update 2.3 is free for owners of the Cyberpunk 2077 base game. CD PROJEKT RED says neither the Phantom Liberty expansion nor Ultimate Edition is required, and players can continue with an existing save. The official Update 2.3 FAQ has the publisher’s ownership and platform details.
