In Cyberpunk 2077, you can drive cars and motorcycles, but taking a vehicle from the street does not make it yours permanently. To keep a vehicle, buy it through Autofixer or a fixer offer, or earn it as a mission reward. Updates 2.0 and 2.3 also added vehicle combat and hands-free AutoDrive, changing how you can use your ride around Night City.
What kinds of vehicles can you use?
The vehicle selection includes cars and motorcycles with different styles and uses. A secondary guide groups examples into economy, executive, heavy-duty, sport, hypercar, and motorcycle categories. These are useful descriptive groupings, not an official in-game taxonomy, and they do not establish a complete current roster.

For a practical choice, consider whether you want a car or motorcycle, whether you value everyday utility or a sportier or more luxurious style, how you will acquire it, and whether it has confirmed vehicle-combat equipment. Can you steal any car and keep it permanently?
No. Driving a car taken from the street is temporary; it does not add that vehicle to your permanent collection. The vehicle guide describes two established routes to ownership: purchase and quest reward.

Buy through Autofixer or a fixer
Vehicles can be purchased through Autofixer or offered by fixers. This is the route to consider when you want to acquire a vehicle rather than borrow one from the streets. The available guide does not establish every vehicle’s price or exact offer conditions.
Earn a vehicle as a quest reward
Some vehicles are rewards for quests. Jackie’s Arch, a motorcycle, is one example available after “Heroes.” Reward conditions depend on the relevant quest; the available guide does not provide a complete list of models and unlock requirements.

How did Update 2.0 change driving?
Released September 21, 2023, Update 2.0 introduced vehicle combat and dynamic chases alongside a new police system. CD PROJEKT RED said players could fire guns while driving, use katanas on motorcycles, take remote control of enemy cars and detonate them, and participate in dynamic chases around Night City. These features make driving more than a way to get from one place to another: vehicles can be part of combat and pursuit scenarios. The announcement confirms the feature set, but it does not provide model-by-model details about which owned vehicles have particular combat equipment.

What is AutoDrive, and how do you use it?
Added in Update 2.3, AutoDrive navigates an owned vehicle to a chosen map marker without requiring you to steer for the trip. CD PROJEKT RED’s July 16, 2025 announcement describes choosing or creating a map marker while driving an owned vehicle, then enabling AutoDrive to travel hands-free.
- Get into an owned vehicle.
- Choose an existing map marker or create one for your destination.
- Enable AutoDrive while driving; the vehicle navigates to that marker.
AutoDrive is for owned vehicles, so a stolen street car is not the way to use this feature. The announcement describes navigation to a selected destination; it does not claim that AutoDrive replaces every driving activity or handles every situation automatically. How does the Delamain taxi service work?
Update 2.3 also lets you summon a Delamain cab, choose a destination, and pay a fee for the ride. It is a separate option from AutoDrive: AutoDrive sends your owned vehicle to a map marker, while the Delamain service provides a taxi trip for a fee.

CD PROJEKT RED announced three new cars and one motorcycle in Update 2.3, including the Yaiba Semimaru, which appeared in the Cyberpunk 2077: Kickdown comic. The publisher said the added vehicles can be unlocked through associated quests. The announcement does not establish a complete vehicle roster or provide every unlock condition.

Which platforms received Update 2.3?
CD PROJEKT RED listed Update 2.3 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and Mac. Feature availability depends on having the relevant update on a supported platform; check the game’s installed version and platform context if a feature described here is missing.
Choosing a vehicle without a complete roster
The available vehicle guide is best used as an orientation, not an exhaustive database. Before choosing, decide whether you want a car or motorcycle, whether you prefer a broad role such as utility, sport, or luxury, and whether you intend to purchase the vehicle or pursue a quest reward. If vehicle combat matters, look for model-specific confirmation rather than assuming every vehicle has the same equipment.
