If Dale & Dawson Stationery Supplies crashes on PC, start with free checks: identify when it fails, compare your system with the Steam requirements, and verify the game files. If it opens, you can also test lower graphics settings, an FPS cap, or windowed mode. These steps are not guaranteed fixes; the display changes in particular come from individual player reports, not official guidance.
First, identify when the game fails

Compare your actual operating system, processor, memory, graphics card, DirectX support, connection, and free storage with the Steam store listing. A PC below the minimum may struggle to run the game, but the requirements alone do not show that a crash calls for new hardware.
Verify the game files in Steam
One player in the community discussion said verifying the installation seemed to resolve their problem. It is a sensible free check, but a single report cannot guarantee it will fix another player’s crash.

- Open your Steam Library and right-click Dale & Dawson Stationery Supplies.
- Select Properties, then open Installed Files.
- Select Verify integrity of game files and let Steam complete the check.
- Try launching the game again and note whether the symptom changes.
If the game opens, test display and performance changes
Players reported a couple of possible workarounds in 2024. They are anecdotal, not developer-confirmed fixes. Change one thing at a time so you can tell whether it made a difference, and restore the original setting if it does not help.
Lower graphics settings and cap the frame rate
One player said reducing graphics settings and limiting FPS seemed to help, while noting they were not sure. If you can reach the game’s settings, lower the graphics options and set an FPS limit, then test whether the freeze or crash recurs.

Try windowed mode at your display’s resolution
A player using two monitors reported temporarily disconnecting the second monitor, starting the game, and changing to windowed mode at the display’s actual resolution. They said the game continued working after reconnecting the second monitor. This is one person’s experience, not a confirmed fix for multi-monitor setups generally.
Separate a connection message from a local crash
A “cannot connect to server” message may point to a connection or service problem rather than a corrupted game installation. A player in the 2024 discussion attributed that message to server downtime at the time, but that historical report does not establish current server status. Check the official Steam announcements for current developer updates before reinstalling the game or considering hardware changes.

- The exact error text, or confirmation that there is no message.
- Whether the failure occurs at startup, during a match, or after a connection message.
- What you have already tried and whether it changed the behavior.
