Danny Trejo—who voiced Raul Alfonso Tejada in the original game—had publicly urged Bethesda to remaster it in 2025. That makes him a supporter of the fan request, not a confirmed participant in the remaster.
What Bethesda has confirmed
In a statement on July 17, 2026, Bethesda Game Studios said: “While we’re not announcing any dates today, we have been working on remasters for both Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas.” The statement confirms the remaster is in development, but gives no release window, platforms, feature list, or name of the development team. What Danny Trejo said about a remaster
GameSpot reported on October 23, 2025, that Trejo commented “Remaster New Vegas boss!” on a post from Bethesda’s official Instagram account. Trejo voiced Raul Alfonso Tejada, the ghoul mechanic, in the original game. His comment was a public request to Bethesda; neither it nor the studio’s later announcement confirms that he is involved in making the remaster. GameSpot’s report on Trejo’s comment
What is—and isn’t—known about the project
- Confirmed: Bethesda is working on remasters of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas.
- Not announced: A launch date or window, platforms, technical or gameplay changes, edition details, and the named remaster developer.
- Not confirmed: Trejo’s participation in the project.
Bethesda also said Obsidian Entertainment is working with it on a new Fallout project. The statement does not identify that separate project as the New Vegas remaster, so the two announcements should not be conflated. Bethesda Game Studios’ July 17 statement

The original game and the anniversary bundle are separate
Fallout: New Vegas first released on October 19, 2010, for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360, according to GameSpot. Bethesda has also announced a 15th-anniversary bundle for PC in 2026. It includes a digital code for Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition and six official add-on content items: Dead Money, Honest Hearts, Old World Blues, Lonesome Road, Courier’s Stash Weapon Pack, and Gun Runner’s Arsenal Weapon Pack. That bundle is an edition of the existing game, not the in-development remaster; the announcement does not establish current retailer stock. Bethesda’s anniversary bundle announcement
