Dark Gestral Arena is an optional area on a floating island in the Continent, and reaching it requires Esquie’s flight ability. It is separate from the Hidden Gestral Arena. Inside, one party member must take on three Chromatic Sakapatate fights and then Golgra.
Where to find Dark Gestral Arena
Look for the arena on a floating island in the Continent. Game8’s guide says you need Esquie’s flight ability to reach it; that ability becomes available at the start of Act III. Each arena battle is fought by a single party member rather than your full team. Choose your champion and equip them before you begin. As general preparation—not a tested build—consider Pictos and Luminas that suit that character’s strengths and help them survive a solo fight.

Fight order
The challenge sequence is three Chromatic Sakapatate variants, followed by Golgra:
- Chromatic Sakapatate (Catapult)
- Chromatic Sakapatate (Ranger)
- Chromatic Sakapatate (Robust)
- Golgra
These encounter names and order are listed in Game8’s guide. The available guides establish the sequence but do not substantiate a specific combat strategy, so tailor your approach to the character you selected.
