The listing sends Dave to Proteus, the ocean moon from Subnautica 2. It has no release date yet (the field reads “To be announced”) and no price, and it requires the Dave the Diver base game on Steam.
What the pack is
The Subnautica 2 Content Pack is a crossover DLC. It brings Dave into the world of Subnautica 2 rather than adding new dive areas to the base game. According to the MINTROCKET Steam product page, the pack takes place on Proteus, which the listing describes as an unfamiliar ocean moon with unfamiliar creatures and valuable resources. MINTROCKET is listed as both developer and publisher.
What the Steam listing confirms
- The item is classed as downloadable content for Dave the Diver, not a standalone game.
- The Dave the Diver base game on Steam is required to play it.
- The setting is Proteus, and the store copy calls the pack an “all-new crossover adventure.”
- The page teases a visitor at the Blue Hole and unspecified surprises, including encounters Dave may not welcome.
The teasers are all the listing offers. It does not name the visitor, identify specific creatures, state how long the pack runs, or describe its mechanics. Anything beyond those teasers should be treated as unknown until MINTROCKET publishes more.
Official wording
The Steam product description reads: “DAVE THE DIVER dives into the mysterious world of Subnautica 2 in an all-new crossover adventure.” A second line says: “Explore the unfamiliar ocean moon Proteus, filled with unfamiliar creatures and valuable resources waiting to be discovered.”

Subnautica 2 context
Unknown Worlds Community Manager Donya Abramo described Subnautica 2’s upcoming Game Preview in an Xbox Wire article dated May 4, 2026. That article covered the Game Preview release for Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC and said optional co-op supports up to three friends. It is useful background on the franchise. It does not show that the Dave the Diver pack will reach Xbox or any other platform.

Nexon also announced Japanese physical Complete and Collector’s Editions for PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2. The Complete Edition is described as including the base game and all DLCs released at that point. The Collector’s Edition adds physical merchandise. The announcement does not say whether either edition includes the Subnautica 2 Content Pack. It also said reservation and release timing would be shared later. Do not buy a physical edition on the expectation that it includes this crossover pack.
