Choose a scale and paper weight

Separate display pieces from rules tokens
An origami creature can function as a visual prop, an initiative marker, or a stand-in miniature. If exact grid occupancy matters, place the folded model on a labeled base or alongside a transparent token so its footprint remains clear.
Protect finished models
Store completed folds flat where possible, transport them in shallow boxes, and keep drinks away from the table. A paper creature used repeatedly will last longer when it is handled by its base rather than by wings, horns, or thin legs.

Rights and fan-made D&D crafts
Dungeon Masters Guild is the relevant marketplace context for fan-created D&D 5e products. Its official help information describes a Roll20–Wizards of the Coast partnership covering fan-made adventures, rules supplements, bestiaries, battle maps, tokens, virtual-tabletop accessories, and related products. That makes it a plausible distribution route for printable D&D origami accessories, but no specific origami creator affiliate program is established here.
