What changed in Bone Chill 2024?
The defining change was a broader set of snowman interactions. Players could gather Snowskulls and use them both as projectiles and to create snowmen, while some snowmen moved independently rather than containing a player. That made a moving snowman an unreliable clue that someone was hiding inside.
- Throw Snowskulls: Collect them from Snow Piles and throw them during a match.
- Build an Instant Snowman: While holding a Snowskull, players could create a snowman where they chose.
- Set a Snowman Decoy: Dropping an Instant Snowman made an unenterable decoy that could surprise players who interacted with it.
- Watch for independent movement: The event also featured snowmen that moved on their own, so movement did not prove a player was inside.
Players could carry up to six Snowskulls at a time, according to the official event guide. The guide described these additions as expanded snowman gameplay; it did not provide a detailed mechanical comparison with earlier Bone Chill events.
What was Ormond Lake Mine?
Ormond Lake Mine was a new map introduced around the mining history of Mount Ormond. Behaviour Interactive said it would remain in the map rotation after Bone Chill ended, so it was not an event-exclusive map. How did the Event Tome and progression work?
The Event Tome contained three levels of winter challenges. Completing challenges earned event currency, which players could use to unlock the event’s listed cosmetics and player-card items. The official announcement presented a range of rewards rather than a ranked list or competing progression paths.

What total in-game rewards did Behaviour announce?
Behaviour Interactive’s December 2024 announcement stated that players would receive a total of 1,500,000 Bloodpoints, 2,750 Iridescent Shards, and 60 Rift Fragments by the end of the month.
