Dead Plate is a downloadable 2D RPG horror game for Windows (and macOS), set in a 1960s French bistro. You play Rody, a waiter trying to earn as much money as possible over a week while working for chef Vince. It mixes restaurant-themed gameplay with visual-novel storytelling and point-and-click elements; it is not a cozy restaurant simulator.

The creators warn of graphic death, blood, gore, violence, cannibalism, eyestrain, disturbing imagery, and disturbing audio. Those warnings are worth considering before starting, especially if graphic or sensory horror is not a good fit for you. The game’s restaurant setting should not be taken as an indication that its subject matter is light.
Should you use an endings guide?
The official game page points to an endings guide for players seeking help. For a first run, going in without a guide may preserve the story’s surprises; consult the guide afterward if you want help pursuing other endings. Avoid looking up ending details beforehand if you want to keep them unspoiled.
