Capcom’s 2024 survey reportedly asked fans whether they wanted Dead Rising 2 to receive a deluxe remaster. That establishes it was presented as a possible direction for fan feedback; it does not establish that Capcom approved, is developing, or plans to release one.
What did Capcom’s survey ask?
Reports published September 23–24, 2024, around the launch of Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, said Capcom asked players whether they wanted more Dead Rising games and what form they should take. The reported choices included a deluxe remaster, a remake, or a brand-new series entry. VGC’s September 23 report reproduced Capcom’s general definition of a deluxe remaster as one with improved playability and updated graphics, including new 3D models. That definition describes the broader survey concept; it is not a verified, specific specification for a Dead Rising 2 project.

Which Dead Rising games were reportedly options?
Game8 and PC Gamer reported that the deluxe-remaster choices included Dead Rising 2, Dead Rising 2: Off the Record, Dead Rising 3, and Dead Rising 4. Reports also described options to remake an existing game or make a new entry. The precise original wording of the Dead Rising 2 option and the survey results have not been established by these reports.
