Death Dealer turns a card-game loser into the hunted player while their friends arm themselves and give chase. The multiplayer horror party game is scheduled to have a demo during Steam Next Fest from October 19–26, 2026, with the demo planned to go offline on October 29, according to a report published October 8. Steam currently lists the game’s planned Early Access release for November 4, 2026.
What is Death Dealer?
Steam describes Death Dealer as a multiplayer horror party game for up to six players. Its central loop moves from a card game to a hunt: players win chips and may gamble them on personal slot machines for extra chips, unusual effects, or modifiers. The player who loses becomes the target. An alarm sounds and gives the hunted player a head start while the others buy weapons; then the pursuit begins.

During the hunt, players can hide, run, misdirect, and track one another. Steam’s listing also highlights teamwork, deception, and proximity voice chat. The cards, chips, and slot machines are in-game mechanics: the developers explicitly say, “It’s a video game, not a real casino. No real money involved.” Psychotronic is listed as both developer and publisher.
When can you play the demo?
A report published October 8, 2026 says the demo is scheduled to be playable during Steam Next Fest from October 19 through October 26, 2026, and is planned to go offline on October 29. Those event and removal dates come from That’s Gaming’s report; Steam’s official listing has a “Download Death Dealer Demo” section but does not itself confirm those dates. The available information does not establish exactly what content the demo includes or whether it will remain playable after October 29.

What to expect from Early Access
Steam currently lists November 4, 2026 as the planned Early Access date and labels the game “Coming Soon To Early Access.” That is the current store listing, not a guaranteed release date.
The developer says the two-person team already has the core loop playable and expects Early Access to last “around 18 months,” while noting the estimate may change as development progresses and player feedback comes in. The stated Early Access build includes the card game, chips, slot machine, and hunt phase. The developer’s plans for the full version include more level content, weapons, character cosmetics, and gameplay variations, alongside bug fixes and work on balance, design, and difficulty; these are plans rather than guaranteed additions.

The developer says it plans to price the game lower during Early Access and raise the price at version 1.0 as content, features, and polish are added. Steam does not list a numeric price. The team says it intends to use Steam forums and discussions, community playtests, Discord, and direct player interaction to inform work on balance and pacing, readability, player experience, replayability, and bugs.

The demo may appeal to groups of up to six who enjoy horror, chaotic player-versus-player play, and a round structure that shifts from cards to a weapon-based chase. Proximity voice chat is part of the listed feature set, so the social and communication side appears central to the experience. The official listing does not establish the demo’s exact contents, so treat the demo as a chance to see how much of that loop is available rather than assuming it represents every planned Early Access feature.
