The right half is in a chest atop the tower at Fort Faroth in Dragonbarrow, Caelid. Bring both to the Grand Lift of Dectus in northern Liurnia and use the “Hoist Medallion” prompt to reach Altus Plateau.
Where to find both Dectus Medallion halves
| Half | Location | Where the chest is |
|---|---|---|
| Left | Fort Haight, Mistwood in southeastern Limgrave | Atop the tower |
| Right | Fort Faroth, Dragonbarrow in Caelid | Atop the tower |
Each half is a key item. Collect both before heading to the lift; one half alone is not enough to operate it. Eldenpedia’s left-half reference and right-half reference describe their role in activating the Grand Lift of Dectus.
Left half: Fort Haight in Limgrave
- Travel to Fort Haight in the Mistwood area of southeastern Limgrave.
- Enter the fort and make your way through it to the tower.
- Climb the ladder and open the chest at the top to collect Dectus Medallion (Left).
PowerPyx’s Fort Haight walkthrough also identifies the tower-top chest as the location of the left half.
Right half: Fort Faroth in Dragonbarrow
- Go to Fort Faroth in Dragonbarrow, Caelid.
- Enter the fort and pass through the room toward the ladder leading to the tower.
- Climb up and open the chest at the top to collect Dectus Medallion (Right).
PowerPyx’s Fort Faroth walkthrough confirms the right half is in the tower-top chest.

Yes. The Ravine-Veiled Village route is an alternative way to reach Altus Plateau without collecting either half. It climbs through a mine and dungeon in the ravine north of the lift and includes a boss encounter. This is a separate progression route, not another location for the Dectus Medallion halves. Push Square’s Altus Plateau guide covers the lift and the alternate route.
