Deezyyyy’s The Living Continent – Seasons – Sky – Weather is a seasonal environment mod for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s next-gen DirectX 12 version. Its Nexus Mods listing describes a year-round cycle, snow that builds up and melts, and 21 European meadow wildflower species that appear in different weeks. The features below are the mod author’s descriptions, not independently tested results.
What does The Living Continent add to The Witcher 3?
The mod layers seasonal, weather, ground and sky effects into the game. Deezyyyy describes the game’s existing clouds, lighting and world as remaining in place, with the added effects built inside the game’s renderer. The author says no other sky mod is needed.

A changing year
The game moves through spring, summer, autumn and winter, with vegetation changing as the seasons progress. Players can set season length by game time or by time actually played; the listed play-time choices are 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours or 4 hours per season. The listing also offers natural or vivid seasonal color settings.

The author says the mod adds 21 European meadow species, each appearing during its own weeks and progressing from bud to bloom to faded flower. The flowers are described as geometry rendered in the game’s G-buffer and moving in the wind. The count and technical description come from the mod page, rather than an independent species or rendering audit.

Other listed winter details include adjustable snow depth, snow on vegetation and walls, icicles, frozen small bodies of water, and fires melting nearby snow. Trees and other vegetation change with the year: leaves emerge, turn autumn colors and fall, gathering beneath trees, while plants rest in winter.
The weather and terrain features listed include rain that soaks characters and surfaces, puddles, wind moving grass, and boot prints in snow, mud and sand. Weather can be selected by season. Sky effects include stars and the Milky Way, northern lights, meteor showers, occasional lunar eclipses and comets, as well as daytime halos, sundogs, sun pillars and rainbows.

Villagers and in-game controls
The mod says villagers switch into the game’s winter clothing in cold weather, while characters in quests and scenes keep their existing outfits. A calendar and quick panel provide controls for settings such as the date, season, weather and snow.
What does the mod require?
The Nexus Mods listing identifies ReShade 6.8 or later with full add-on support as a requirement for the DirectX 12 executable, binx64_dx12witcher3.exe. The listing says no ReShade effects or presets are needed. Check Deezyyyy’s page for the current installation instructions and requirement details, since mod requirements can change.
