Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 was confirmed for 2025 and has since been released. SEGA announced an August 5, 2025 launch for North America and Europe, with the Steam version dated August 6. SEGA’s regional announcement listed August 1 for console platforms, so the date depends on the territory and platform.
When did Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 come out?
SEGA confirmed the game for a 2025 release on December 9, 2024. Its March 2025 announcement set August 5, 2025, for North America and Europe, except Steam, which was scheduled for August 6. A separate SEGA regional announcement in April listed August 1, 2025, for consoles and August 6 for Steam. These are announced regional launch dates, not conflicting dates for a single territory.

Is there a physical edition?
Aniplex announced physical package editions for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. That confirms physical availability was announced for those platforms, but does not establish current retailer stock, prices, or whether a particular edition is still available in a given territory. Check the retailer’s current listing for those details.

SEGA announced a free update adding Muzan Kibutsuji to VS Mode on September 18, 2025. The same announcement said characters from the Infinity Castle arc would be added through paid DLC, but it did not provide the later DLC release schedule. It should not be treated as a complete or current list of available DLC.
