Bungie announced that Into the Light would launch alongside Update 7.3.6 on April 9, 2024. The two-month content update made content available to all players during April and May, ahead of The Final Shape. Bungie’s March 14 announcement set the launch date.

What time did Into the Light start?
Bungie’s announced expected login availability was 10:00 AM PDT (17:00 UTC) on April 9, 2024, across platforms and regions. That was a scheduled availability time, not a guarantee that every player could log in at precisely that minute. Bungie warned: “Due to complexities with each release, stated times may not line up exactly to release times.” See the April 8 maintenance timeline.

Did all Into the Light content arrive on launch day?
No. The rollout included content scheduled for different dates: Bungie’s April 4 preview said The Whisper would be available on April 9, while Zero Hour was planned for May. The overall April–May content window therefore did not mean every activity arrived on launch day.
