Deus Ex Remastered no longer has a confirmed release date. It was originally scheduled for February 5, 2026, but Aspyr said in December 2025 that it would not launch then. Steam currently lists the release as “To be announced,” and the sources reviewed do not establish a replacement date.

Was Deus Ex Remastered delayed?

Yes. Aspyr withdrew the February 5, 2026 date in December 2025, saying the game would no longer launch as planned. The statement cited community feedback and a desire to better meet fan expectations. Aspyr also said existing preorders would be fully refunded and that it would share updates later. The statement was attributed to Aspyr as an organization, not to a named spokesperson. PC Gamer reported the delay and refund announcement; Gematsu also reported the delay.

When is Deus Ex Remastered coming out?

There is no replacement date established by the available official listing and delay reports. Steam currently labels the release “To be announced.” The PlayStation Store still displays February 5, 2026, but that was the original planned date and conflicts with Aspyr’s later delay announcement; it should not be treated as a confirmed launch date. Check the Steam listing or PlayStation Store page for subsequent changes.

Which platforms were announced?

Aspyr and Eidos-Montréal announced the remaster for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The original announcement paired those platforms with the now-withdrawn February 5, 2026 launch date. The announcement carried by Games Press names the platforms and planned date.

What changes are planned for the remaster?

The announcement describes visual updates including reworked lighting, dynamic shadows, water and particle effects, updated textures, and new character models with smoother lip-sync animations. It also lists autosaves, faster loading, achievement tracking, cloud saves on supported platforms, and controller support as quality-of-life features. The PlayStation Store listing additionally describes support for ultrawide and multi-monitor displays. These are announced features, not an independent assessment of how the remaster looks or performs.
