The Season 15 database listing, updated for patch 3.2.1 on October 5, 2026, says it increases Ground Stomp damage and lists Varshan as its drop source. Its value for a build depends on how often you cast Ground Stomp and how far you can travel between casts.
What does 100,000 Steps do?
The current Season 15 listing gives the Unique effect as a 20.0–25.0% increase to Ground Stomp damage, plus an additional increase based on distance traveled since the skill’s previous cast. That additional increase can reach 80.0–100.0%. The listing also shows +3 to Ground Stomp as an affix. These are database-listed values; check the item tooltip in your game for the roll on the boots you find.

Where do I get 100,000 Steps?

Blizzard’s patch 2.0 notes say 100,000 Steps was removed from the Beast in the Ice drop table. That is a change documented for patch 2.0, not confirmation of the current Varshan source. See Blizzard’s patch 2.0 notes for that historical change.
Is 100,000 Steps still current in Season 15?
Yes. It appears in a Season 15 database listing marked as updated for patch 3.2.1. The effect and affix values above describe that current listing; earlier patch notes record changes made at the time and should not be read as a replacement for the current item data.
For example, Blizzard’s patch 2.0 notes changed how often the effect could occur, from every ten seconds to every five seconds. Blizzard’s patch 3.1 notes list Primary Core Stat and Skill Ranks to Ground Stomp as guaranteed affixes. These are patch-specific historical details; the Season 15 database entry lists +3 to Ground Stomp. Read Blizzard’s patch 3.1 notes.

Is 100,000 Steps worth using?
There is no established best-in-slot verdict or comparative build test for this item. The current database page reports no builds using it, so assess it against your own Ground Stomp setup rather than assuming the Unique is universally strong or weak.
- Ground Stomp usage: The damage bonus matters most to a build that casts Ground Stomp regularly.
- Cast cadence and movement: The effect scales with distance traveled since the previous cast, so consider how much ground your playstyle covers between casts.
- Your item roll: Compare the boots’ rolled effect and +3 Ground Stomp with the stats on your available alternatives.
- What you give up: Weigh the Unique’s Ground Stomp benefits against the defensive or offensive value of other boots you could equip.
These factors support a build-specific decision, not a universal ranking.
