Seasonal powers and Infernal Hordes changes
Chaos Powers and runes
- Convocation of Spirits: Its bonus damage increased from 100–200% to 200–400%.
- A Beast Cornered: Its damage and damage-reduction scaling based on missing life remain. Resource spending now drains 0.2% of maximum life per resource spent and refunds 40% of total resources spent. This effect cannot lower the character below 10% life.
- Rune fixes: Yul Rune now works correctly with Basic Skills that have the Unstable Power Chaos Perk, and Xan Rune is no longer incorrectly consumed by non-Cast skills.
- Chaos Armor display: The Heshe e Kesungi display no longer shows one extra Greater Affix.
Infernal Hordes
Soulspires have increased range, and monsters now frequently ambush players inside them. Blizzard said the change is intended to reinforce Infernal Hordes’ frenetic feel while keeping Soulspires a high-investment, high-payout offer.

Seasonal class-power adjustments
Several class-related seasonal powers received numerical increases. These patch values do not, by themselves, establish how a particular build performs in practice.

| Class or power | October 7 change |
|---|---|
| Rogue — Unpredictable Alchemy | Imbued-damage bonus increased from 20–40% to 40–60%. |
| Rogue — Hit and Run | Damage bonus increased from 30–50% to 50–70%. |
| Rogue — Orphan Maker | Bonus for every second Reload Skill increased from 50% to 100%. |
| Barbarian — Single Minded Fury | Three listed ranges increased: bleed duration from 150–250% to 200–300%, maximum life from 75–125% to 100–150%, and damage from 150–250% to 200–300%. |
| Sorcerer — Crackling Energy | Pickup behavior was adjusted when the character is at full charges. Blizzard’s developer note says the change prevents high attack speed from causing players to run out of Crackling Energy. |
Class and item balance across all six classes
The patch includes changes for Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, Rogue, Sorcerer, and Spiritborn. The direction is mixed: the notes include increases, reductions, caps, reworks, and behavior changes. A class-wide label such as “buff” or “nerf” would miss those differences.
- Barbarian: Changes include a reduction to tempering resource restoration, adjustments to Walking Arsenal, and changes to several unique items.
- Druid: Nature’s Fury behavior and Basilisk and Stormchaser’s Aspect are adjusted.
- Necromancer: Blood Surge, Blood Lance, aspects, and unique items receive changes.
- Rogue: The notes adjust skills, unique items, and Paragon.
- Sorcerer: Changes affect an aspect, unique items, Paragon, and tempering.
- Spiritborn: Changes affect skills, Spirit Hall, a passive, and an aspect.
For exact skill wording and individual values beyond the seasonal adjustments above, use Blizzard’s full 2.4.1 patch entry. To judge an individual build, compare its specific skill or item, the old and new value, and whether the change is numerical, a cap, or a behavior adjustment. Blizzard’s notes do not supply build rankings or controlled performance results.

Bug fixes and general improvements
Bug fixes cover Barbarian skill and item interactions; Druid’s Aspect of Wildrage and poison-creeper damage; Necromancer Bone Storm duration; and Rogue Shadow Clone, aspects, and Momentum. Blizzard lists general UI, stability, visual, and performance improvements but does not report benchmark results or measured performance gains.
