Diablo 4 Season 7’s Season of Witchcraft Journey has seven chapters, and you do not need to finish every listed objective: the reported thresholds range from 8 to 12 challenges per chapter. This is a historical Season 7 checklist, not a claim that the season is currently active or that its objectives remain available unchanged.
The checklist and reward names below follow GameSpot’s chapter guide published January 22, 2025. Blizzard’s official announcement confirms that the Journey is divided into chapters and says completing it awards Dorian the Raven pet, but does not enumerate the objectives. The Destroyer chapter has a discrepancy: GameSpot’s prose says 8 of 10, while its visible list contains nine objectives. Check the in-game panel for the final count if you are playing this content.

The thresholds leave two objectives beyond the minimum in each chapter according to the guide. That gives you room to avoid tasks that require a party, a high Torment tier, a timed run, or a no-death clear.

- A Witch’s Debt: Reach Coven Rank 1 by completing Whispers.
- Trinket’s from the Nest: Obtain one cache from the Raven during a Headhunt by completing Whispers.
- Veteran of Ashes: Acquire 666 Aberrant Cinders during Helltide.
- Spoils of Hell: Open one Tortured Gift during Helltide.
- Trouble in the Wilds: Complete five World Events.
- Forager: Collect 100 Bundled Herbs.

- Taste of Power: Collect five Witch Powers from any Altar of Witchcraft near the Tree of Whispers.
- Twilight Dream: Acquire one Nightmare Dungeon Sigil.
- Pilgrimage of Nightmares: Complete five Nightmare Dungeons.
- Test of Mettle: Defeat five elite monsters.
- Prelude of Doom: Defeat five Harbingers during Helltide.
- Notarized Nuisance: Reach maximum Threat Level by defeating monsters during Helltide.
- Risk and Reward: Buy three pieces of equipment from the Purveyor of Curiosities.
- A Master at Work: Complete one World Event with Mastery.
- Ruins Reclaimed: Clear one Stronghold.
- Capable Craftsmen: Learn one recipe of Rare or higher rarity.

Chapter 3: complete 9 of 11
- Sacrificial Blade: Reach Coven Rank 5.
- Rot Cleanser: Complete five Rootholds.
- Cave out the Necrosis: Defeat five Thrall of Rot, found during Headhunts or in Rootholds.
- Gifts of the Ancients: Unlock 10 aspects in the Codex of Power.
- Miracles of Alchemy: Craft five Elixirs at the Alchemist.
- Confront the Creature: Defeat the Blood Maiden summoned during Helltide with Baneful Hearts.
- Champion of the Lost: Clear three Strongholds.
- Basic Needs: Temper five Affixes onto gear at the Blacksmith.
- Forsaken Offerings: Obtain five Caches from the Tree of Whispers by completing Whispers.
- Hard Fought Victory: Complete one Legion Event.
- Band of Killers: Defeat a World Boss while in a party.
Reported rewards: Greater Favor, Third Journey Cache, Third Journey Crafting Cache, Third Journey Summoning Cache, and Archetype Cache.

- Penitential Path: Defeat 666 monsters in Penitent difficulty or higher.
- Endless Nightmares: Complete 10 Nightmare Dungeons.
- Gifts of the Tree: Obtain 10 Caches from the Tree of Whispers.
- Form and Function: Add Sockets to five gear pieces at the Jeweler.
- Forged in Blood: Craft five Blacksmith Caches after reaching Level 60.
- Ceremonial Smoke: Craft one Incense at the Alchemist.
- Strength in Numbers: Complete one Legion Event while in a party.
- Born in Torment: Defeat 10 Hellborne spawned by reaching maximum Threat Level during Helltide in Torment 1 or higher.

Reported rewards: Dorian the Raven pet, Raven Familiar Emblem, Destroyer’s Cache (including a Resplendent Spark and consumables), Destroyer’s Crafting Cache, Destroyer’s Summoning Cache, and Mystery Greater Archetype Cache. Blizzard’s Season of Witchcraft announcement also identifies Dorian as a reward for completing the Season Journey.
How to choose objectives to skip
Plan around the two-objective cushion reported for each chapter, rather than assuming every task is mandatory. Early objectives overlap: Whispers advance Coven standing and can yield Raven or Tree caches, while Helltide contributes to cinders, gifts, Threat Level, and other seasonal targets. Routine progress in Nightmare Dungeons, Strongholds, and resource collection can also count toward multiple listed tasks.
- Playing solo? The World Boss in a party, Legion Event in a party, and 25 Lair Bosses in a party objectives explicitly require a group; consider skipping them when the chapter threshold permits.
- At later chapters? Slayer introduces Torment 1 and Tormented boss requirements; Champion includes Torment 2; Destroyer stacks Torment 4, timed, or no-death conditions.
- Prefer repeatable routine activities? Look for objectives that progress during the same Whispers, Helltide, Nightmare Dungeon, or Pit session instead of making a separate trip for every checkbox.
