No verified evidence shows that BlueStacks 5.4 stopped Call of Duty: Mobile bans. In November 2021, BlueStacks support described a workaround using BlueStacks 5.4.0.1063, a Nougat 32-bit instance, and a new game account. That was a dated vendor claim—not a guarantee, proof of universal success, or a way to overturn an existing ban. Activision says Call of Duty: Mobile does not officially support emulators.
What BlueStacks said about the v5.4 ban issue
The reports and BlueStacks response date to November 2021. A community thread identifies November 12 as the release date for BlueStacks 5.4.0.1063; a reply attributed to BlueStacks support appeared on November 15. The reproduced support message said the company had developed a workaround to play with a new account on a Nougat 32-bit instance. The thread reproducing the support response is not a currently maintained BlueStacks policy page.
That advice described a setup to try with a fresh account. It was not an account appeal remedy, a finding that BlueStacks caused every reported ban, or evidence that an existing suspension would be lifted. The support response directed players whose accounts were already banned to the game developer.
Did the workaround stop bans for everyone?
No. Players in another contemporaneous discussion reported continued bans after the workaround was discussed. Those comments are individual reports, not a measured failure rate; they are enough to show that the support statement should not be presented as a universally verified fix. The November 2021 discussion of the ban issue does not establish how often bans occurred or what caused them.

The available evidence does not quantify bans attributed to BlueStacks 5.4, establish that the update caused them, or provide a success rate for the workaround. Treat the claim as historical guidance from the emulator vendor, not assurance that using that version or instance is safe now.
What Activision says about playing COD: Mobile on an emulator
Activision’s official emulator FAQ says: “This version of Call of Duty: Mobile does not officially support the use of emulators.” It also says players using an emulator are matched only with other emulator players. “Does not officially support” is not the same as a statement that every emulator user is automatically banned; the FAQ does not promise that emulator use is protected from enforcement.

Activision’s Security and Enforcement Policy covers a range of conduct, including unauthorized third-party software used to gain an unfair advantage and unsupported devices or applications used for cheating. The policy says temporary suspensions may last from 48 hours to two weeks or longer depending on severity, and that permanent suspensions are final. It does not say that BlueStacks alone automatically triggers a ban. Activision also states that enforcement actions are at its discretion.
How to handle a ban on a particular account
If your COD: Mobile account is already banned, contact Activision through the game’s Global Support page and follow its account-specific support route. The page points banned players to the Security and Enforcement Policy and a support request option. Neither the general policy nor support route promises reinstatement or states what decision Activision will make on an individual case.

Do not treat reinstalling BlueStacks, changing emulator instances, or creating another account as a way to remove an enforcement action on the banned account. BlueStacks’ reproduced 2021 response referred to a new account for its workaround and directed already-banned players to the developer.

These materials concern compatibility and play configuration; they do not establish Activision approval or immunity from account enforcement.
