Yes. Markus “Notch” Persson said he joined Midasplayer, the company later renamed King.com, as a Flash-game programmer. He recalled making around 20 to 30 games there. His interviews establish the company-name sequence and the kind of work he did, but not a confirmed employment date range.
Which King did Notch work for?
“Notch” is Markus Persson, the developer behind Minecraft, as identified in BAFTA’s profile. In a 2012 interview with BAFTA, Persson said: “After that I joined Midasplayer, which later was renamed King.com.” So he worked for the company that became King.com, though he described joining it under its earlier name, Midasplayer.

Persson recalled making “around 20 to 30 games” during his time at King.com. That is his approximate personal recollection, not an independently audited count.

In a separate interview with Game Developer, he named work including ports of Zuma and Luxor, Pinball King, and Duck Pond Dash. These are projects he cited in recalling his programming work.
What did he say he learned?
Persson said that learning to finish projects was especially valuable: “The thing I learned there was how to actually finish projects, which was very, very valuable.” This is his reflection on the job; it does not by itself establish that the experience caused the later success of Minecraft.
