No. Sony’s published Tokyo Game Show 2024 program did not include a PS6 presentation. Sony instead highlighted PS5 games and gave PS5 Pro its first public showing at the booth.
What Sony showed at TGS 2024
Tokyo Game Show ran September 26–29, 2024, at Makuhari Messe. The official event site identifies the Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association (CESA) as organizer and lists the dates and venue.
Sony Interactive Entertainment’s booth announcement described playable PS5 games, stage events and video screenings. Its detailed program, published September 20 and updated September 24, listed PS5 titles including Astro Bot, Monster Hunter Wilds, Metaphor: ReFantazio and Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. The program also included a Death Stranding 2 special stage, which Kojima Productions described in its event announcement.
Why PS5 Pro may be confused with a PS6 reveal
Sony explicitly identified PS5 Pro as the hardware receiving its first public showing at the booth, with two playable stations on the public days. That is the next-generation-console-related detail most likely to be mistaken for a PS6 reveal, but PS5 Pro is a PS5 console—not PS6. This possible source of confusion is an inference; Sony’s program does not give that explanation.

What the published record can—and cannot—confirm
The official schedule and Sony’s published booth program support a clear answer about Sony’s public presentation: PS6 was not listed, while PS5 Pro and PS5 games were. They are not a transcript of every conversation or activity at the venue, so they cannot establish that nobody mentioned PS6 informally or in an unpublished setting.
Sony’s detailed program said its information was current as of September 20 and could change; it also records updates made September 24. It is best read as the published event program, not an exhaustive account of everything that happened. The official event site’s report gives 274,739 visitors for the four-day in-person exhibition, a measure of attendance rather than evidence about a PS6 presentation.
