A StatTrak Factory New AK-47 | Case Hardened with pattern 661 was reported sold for more than $1 million in June 2024—but the exact amount and a transaction record have not been made public in the sources cited. That report came after an earlier estimate of $800,000 to $1 million, so the estimate and reported sale should not be treated as the same claim.
How much is the 661 pattern AK-47 Case Hardened worth?
The available figures describe two different moments, not a confirmed current price:
| Claim | What was reported | What it establishes |
|---|---|---|
| January 2024 estimate | Beebom reported that a StatTrak pattern 661 AK-47 | Case Hardened had appeared on Buff, with an estimated value of $800,000 to $1 million attributed to CS2 trader and YouTuber ohnePixel. Beebom’s report | An estimate at the time, not proof of a completed sale. |
| June 2024 reported sale | PCGamesN reported that a StatTrak Factory New pattern 661 AK sold for over $1 million, citing a post by collector roflm0nster on X. The exact amount paid was not disclosed. PCGamesN’s guide, updated March 5, 2026 | A later secondary report of a sale, not a published receipt or primary marketplace record. |
Neither figure is a current asking price or a verified quote for another pattern 661. The sources do not establish the exact proceeds, identify the buyer, or document the transaction through a primary record. They also do not establish what the skin would be worth today.
Did the CS2 Blue Gem AK actually sell for a million dollars?
PCGamesN says the skin sold for more than $1 million in June 2024. That is stronger than the January estimate because it describes a completed sale, but the evidence cited remains secondary reporting: the article attributes the claim to an X post and does not provide a transaction receipt or primary marketplace record. The precise sale amount was not disclosed.

What is a Blue Gem in CS2?
AK-47 | Case Hardened is a weapon skin with varying patterns. Pattern 661 is a pattern index whose blue-heavy appearance has led collectors to call it a “Blue Gem.” The pattern index identifies a particular finish arrangement; it does not, by itself, guarantee a particular price.

What makes AK-47 Case Hardened pattern 661 so rare?
The item drew attention for its sought-after blue-heavy pattern and its StatTrak and Factory New attributes. Beebom also reported that the pattern had not surfaced for ten years, attributing that scarcity claim to CSGOBlueGem.com. That is a reported claim, not an independently verified count of how many examples exist or have appeared.

Steam Community Market has a listing page for the ordinary AK-47 | Case Hardened item, but a general item listing does not verify the reported private sale or establish a pattern 661 price. PCGamesN says Steam’s market has a $2,000 limit and that rare patterns may require dedicated trading sites. The Steam page itself does not provide usable evidence here for a current pattern-specific price.
