Yes—Bandai Namco announced on December 12, 2025, that Digimon Story: Time Stranger had surpassed 1 million worldwide cumulative shipments as of December 2025. The figure includes digital versions, and the publisher said it was the fastest game in the Digimon Story series to reach the milestone. That is a publisher-reported shipment total, not an independently audited count of copies sold to players.
What the 1 million figure counts
Bandai Namco’s Japanese announcement describes the milestone as worldwide cumulative shipments exceeding 1 million and explicitly includes digital versions. It does not give a physical-versus-digital split, a regional breakdown, or platform-by-platform totals. The announcement also does not establish how many copies players have purchased or installed.

The publisher later described the game as having “sold more than 1M units” in its February 2026 Nintendo Switch announcement. For the milestone’s exact date and metric, however, the December 12, 2025 announcement specifies cumulative shipments as of December 2025.
Bandai Namco called Time Stranger the fastest title in the Digimon Story series to exceed 1 million. The company did not provide a comparison of individual games’ shipment totals.
