Disney Dreamlight Valley’s free Mysteries of Skull Rock update launched June 18, 2025. It continues The Forgotten’s story, opens Skull Rock, adds Peter Pan as a villager, and brings companion progression, the Adventures in Never Land Star Path, seasonal events, decorating and photo-mode improvements, and numerous fixes. These notes describe the June 2025 release, not the game’s current platform support or bug status.
Story, Skull Rock, and Peter Pan
The update continues The Forgotten’s story for players who have completed the base game’s main questline. A special feather leads toward Skull Rock, where players can enter a cavern built around a ship and solve puzzles involving Pixie Flames, light, and shadow. The official announcement describes the location and puzzle premise in its June 18, 2025 update announcement; the June 17, 2025 patch notes frame the story as a search for who is inside Skull Rock.

Peter Pan joins the Valley with quests and friendship rewards. His story includes rebuilding his crew of Dreamlight Lost Boys. The Forgotten also becomes a full villager: players can hang out with them, earn new friendship items, and give them a name.
Companion friendship, rewards, and abilities
Critters and other companions now gain friendship levels and rewards. When equipped, they can help gather resources. The June 17 patch notes list these resource categories:

- Squirrels: fruits; rabbits: vegetables; turtles: seafood.
- Sunbirds: flowers; foxes and crocodiles: fish.
- Raccoons and whimsical creatures: gems; ravens: soil.
- Capybaras, snakes, and monkeys: Timebending Parts.
- Owls, baby dragons, and pegasuses: snippets; dogs: sticks.
Some named Disney companions may receive special rewards rather than follow those categories. Companion friendship can also expand player inventory and provide extra resources while the companion is equipped. Regular critters without preset names can be nicknamed, and companions now have a dedicated section in the Collections Menu.
Adventures in Never Land Star Path and events
The Adventures in Never Land Star Path features pirate- and mermaid-inspired outfits, decor, cosmetics, and Dream Styles for Goofy and Minnie. Its tasks include catching fish on Dazzle Beach, finding memories, and spending time with Peter Pan.

The patch notes also list Troves of Treasure, a treasure-map and riddle event, and the returning Summer Sizzle event, with marshmallows, treats, and rewards. The June 18 announcement planned Troves of Treasures for August and Summer Sizzle’s return for July; those were the schedule announced in June 2025, not a current event calendar.
Disney Dreamlight Valley Arcade Edition does not include seasonal Star Paths or the Premium Shop, according to the June 17 patch notes.

Decorating, photos, and memory changes
- Decorating: Place paths diagonally and use an expanded decorating grid. House styles can be placed outside the Valley once in each Expansion area and on a Floating Island.
- Photo Mode: Sit during photos and use additional retouching options and toggles.
- Memories: Activities that yield a memory orb now produce a new Memory Shard unless all memories related to that activity are complete. The chance of memory orbs appearing from watering dried flowers also increases.
- Other adjustments: Premium Shop bundle recommendations changed, and Dreamlight costs for uncrafting certain items were corrected.
PlayStation cross-save and release details
The developer’s June 17 patch notes said PlayStation cross-save would arrive alongside the update, which the June 18 announcement said was available on all platforms that day. These are historical release statements; they do not establish the current cross-save support matrix. The June 18 announcement described the update as free.

The June patch notes list fixes across quests and general gameplay. Quest issues addressed included progression problems in “Furniture Fluster,” “Mannequin Madness,” “Books with No Pictures,” “The Spark of Imagination,” “Monkey Business,” “Chaos in the kitchen,” and “Teeny, Tiny Problems.” Other examples covered house-skin placement, furniture interaction, crafting and cooking, an unclaimable Lost and Found message, rugs stuck in the Bind biome, a memory shard stuck in a tree, and visual, clothing, and audio issues.

On October 1, 2025, a later official patch note listed a fix for Peter being difficult to find in Skull Rock. That confirms a later fix for that issue; it does not show that every June issue persisted or establish the game’s present bug state. See the developer’s October 1, 2025 patch notes.
