Robert Robertson, known as Mecha Man, is the protagonist and a former hero. After his mech suit is destroyed, he takes a dispatcher job at a superhero dispatch center. His story gives the game’s workplace-management premise a personal stake: he is navigating a new role after losing the equipment that defined his former hero career. Blonde Blazer
Blonde Blazer is a major hero figure named in the unofficial character guide. The official product description supports the broader team premise, but does not provide a full character database or establish Blonde Blazer’s precise relationship to every playable dispatch. Include her when discussing the wider hero cast, rather than counting her as one of the seven characters in the commonly listed core playable team.
Other names and appearances
Names such as Phenomaman and Waterboy appear in secondary material, but the official sources available here do not establish a complete list of supporting heroes, cameos, or conditional team members. Treat any wider list as provisional unless it is checked against the game or a developer-published character source.
How the hero roster works
Dispatch alternates between story choices and dispatch-management segments. At the center, the player manages and levels a roster, then assigns heroes to emergencies. The official Xbox store description and the PlayStation Blog overview describe that combination of narrative choices and dispatch duties.
Abilities matter when assigning heroes, while quirks, flaws, relationships, and allegiances tie the roster to the story. Official platform descriptions say heroes can be levelled and that player choices influence relationships and allegiances. In practice, a character guide should distinguish what is confirmed for the broad system from what would require character-specific verification: these sources do not establish individual stats, detailed powers, mission rankings, or conditional availability for each hero.

What “hero” means in Dispatch
The game uses “hero” both as a role in its superhero setting and as a question the story explores. The dispatch team is framed as former villains receiving a chance at redemption, while Robert’s arc concerns returning to heroism after losing his mech suit. As a result, “every hero” can mean the playable dispatch team, major allied heroes, or every heroic character who appears. The seven-name list above answers the first question; it should not be mistaken for a verified census of the entire cast.
