To complete A New Recruit in Disney Dreamlight Valley, clean Mushu’s training camp, find and wear the four uniform pieces, cook Mushu’s Congee, ring the gong beside Mulan’s tent, and serve the dish to Mulan. Mushu gives the quest in the Mulan Realm. This walkthrough covers that quest, not the similarly worded Ordeals of a New Recruit in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
How to start A New Recruit
Unlock the Mulan Realm and enter it. A New Recruit begins automatically there, with Mushu as your quest giver. The game’s App Store listing describes the game as a life-simulation and adventure experience; its update history also notes the Mulan and Mushu realm and training-camp activities.

Clean up Mushu’s training camp
Follow the initial objective to tidy the camp. Break the rocks, dig up the spilled rice, and flip the cauldron. Once the cleanup is complete, Mushu directs you to gather training clothes.

Collect the Training Pants, Training Shirt, Training Shoes, and Training Socks, then bring the complete set to Mushu. The locations below are reported by a community quest guide and may be worth checking against your game build if an item is not where expected.

Receive Mushu’s Congee Recipe Book from Mushu and use the recipe to prepare the dish. The recipe ingredients are in the realm and are quest objectives, not real-world groceries to purchase.
