DISSIDIA DUELLUM FINAL FANTASY launched on March 24, 2026. Square Enix’s mobile Dissidia game is available on iOS and Android as a free-to-play download with optional in-app purchases. It turns Final Fantasy characters into teams racing to defeat a giant boss.
Is DISSIDIA DUELLUM FINAL FANTASY out yet?
Yes. Square Enix began service on March 24, 2026, and its official English game page now marks the title “Available Now.” The company’s September 2026 programming also included post-launch updates and half-anniversary events.
Square Enix co-developed the game with NHN PlayArt, as stated in its launch announcement.
Where can you play it, and is it free?
DISSIDIA DUELLUM FINAL FANTASY is a mobile game for iOS and Android, available through the App Store and Google Play. Square Enix lists it as free to play with in-app purchases. The official page notes that purchases include randomized virtual items; it does not establish that spending is required to play.

How does the 3v3 boss battle work?
Square Enix describes the game as a “3v3 Team Boss Battle Arena.” Two teams and monsters share the battlefield, and each team races to defeat a giant boss before the opposing team does. The win condition is therefore a boss takedown race, rather than simply eliminating the other team.
The company says the controls are simple and playable one-handed. That describes the intended control approach, but does not establish specific device requirements or performance.
What is the story about?
The story brings Final Fantasy warriors into a modern-day Tokyo setting. Square Enix’s official game site summarizes it with the line, “A new DISSIDIA story unfolds in modern Tokyo.” The launch announcement says the main story is fully voiced.
