Yes. If you complete DELTARUNE Chapter 2’s Snowgrave route, also called the Weird Route, Spamton NEO becomes the required final boss. Kris fights him alone at the Fountain, replacing the normal final battle against GIGA Queen.
What happens in Snowgrave’s final sequence?
After the route’s decisive battle with Berdly, Chapter 2’s story changes. In the altered mansion and Fountain sequence, the usual GIGA Queen fight is averted. Spamton NEO intercepts Kris before the Fountain can be sealed, and Kris must fight him alone. The encounter cannot be spared; it is part of the route’s altered ending, not an optional side boss.
In the described ending, Kris calls for Ralsei and Susie without success, then calls for Noelle, who concludes the battle.
What makes the route lead to this fight?
The Weird Route begins after Noelle joins the party in Cyber City. Its progression depends on specific actions and dialogue choices, rather than simply encountering Spamton earlier in the chapter.

- Direct Noelle to freeze route encounters with IceShock, including encounters reached by backtracking.
- Accept the FreezeRing offer, choose “Proceed” when prompted, and return to the dumpster after freezing the available enemies.
- Obtain and equip the ThornRing so Noelle can cast SnowGrave on Berdly.
- End the decisive Berdly battle with SnowGrave. Defeating him another way aborts the route.
Once Berdly is defeated with SnowGrave, the Chapter 2 route is locked and leads to the altered final sequence.
