No. For a Twitch Drops reward that requires watching across multiple days, the qualifying days count toward a total; they do not have to be consecutive. You do need to meet the reward’s watch-time minimum within each qualifying period, which Twitch defines as a rolling 24-hour window that starts when you first make progress.
How multi-day Drops progress works
Twitch says a multi-day Drops requirement counts a total number of qualifying days, not a streak. You can miss a day and return later without losing days you already completed. The rule applies to multi-day Drops, not every Twitch feature that tracks viewing.
A Drops “day” is not necessarily a calendar day. Twitch’s window runs for 24 hours from when you first accrue progress toward that reward, so it can span two calendar dates. Reach the required watch time within that window: if it ends first, any incomplete minutes for that day are discarded, while previously completed days remain. Twitch explains the windows and multi-day requirements in its Drops guide.
What viewing counts toward a Drops day?
- Watch a live stream that is enabled for the campaign. VODs and replays do not count.
- Check the specific reward’s requirement. The campaign details or the Drops & More panel show its watch-time requirement and progress.
- You can switch participating channels. Progress can accrue on any channel participating in that campaign, but only one channel counts at a time. Watching multiple streams simultaneously does not make progress faster.
How to check progress and claim a reward
- Open the campaign details or the Drops & More panel on Twitch and check the reward’s requirement and progress.
- Watch an eligible live stream for the campaign. Keep the stream eligible until you meet that window’s minimum watch time.
- Return during a later qualifying 24-hour window if the reward requires more days. The days need not be consecutive.
- When the reward is complete, claim it on Twitch as directed by the campaign. Link the relevant game account and follow the campaign’s instructions for delivery; earning progress, claiming the Drop, and receiving it in the game are separate steps.
Drops days are not Watch Streaks
Twitch Watch Streaks are a separate feature that tracks consecutive streams viewed from a channel. That consecutive-viewing rule does not apply to the total qualifying days for a multi-day Drops reward. See Twitch’s Watch Streaks help page for the distinction.

If Drops progress is missing
- Confirm the campaign is still active and you are viewing a participating channel live, not a VOD or replay.
- Check the correct campaign and reward in Drops Inventory or the Drops & More panel.
- Review whether the current rolling 24-hour window ended before you reached its minimum; incomplete minutes for that window do not carry over.
- If the reward is complete, check whether it still needs to be claimed on Twitch or whether the game account needs to be linked for delivery.
