No. Persona 5 runs on an in-game calendar, and Palace treasure objectives have deadlines. You can choose how to spend many days, but you cannot put off a Palace indefinitely: plan to secure its treasure before the deadline, send the calling card beforehand, and save often.
How the calendar limits your time
ATLUS advises players to check the in-game calendar and not wait until the final day to steal a Palace treasure. The calling card must be sent before attempting to take the treasure. In other words, the deadline is not simply a suggestion to eventually visit the Palace; it sets a limit on completing that objective. ATLUS’s newcomer advice recommends leaving room to act rather than relying on the last day.

Within those limits, the calendar gives you choices. Days and evenings can be used for activities such as developing Confidant relationships, as well as progressing through the game. That freedom is real, but it does not mean you can spend an unlimited number of days on one Palace.
How to plan around a Palace deadline
- Check the calendar in-game. Use the date and deadline shown for your current objective to guide your plans.
- Make Palace progress before the final day. Do not assume that the last available day is a safe time to begin or finish the objective.
- Send the calling card before attempting to take the treasure. The card has to be sent beforehand.
- Save often. ATLUS includes frequent saving among its newcomer recommendations.
There is no single number of spare days that applies to every player based on these general rules. The amount of time you have depends on the specific Palace and the version you are playing; consult a calendar made for that version if you need exact dates.

Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal use different schedules
Persona 5 Royal adds an entirely new semester and characters not present in the original Persona 5, so its overall schedule is not identical. A deadline calendar or guide for one version may not match the other. ATLUS’s official Royal site describes the additional content, while its Royal launch FAQ also notes that original Persona 5 save data does not transfer into Royal; Royal can recognize prior save data and award an item bundle.
