Yes, cheating activity exists in Battlefield 6, according to EA. But EA’s reported blocked-attempt totals do not tell us what share of current matches are affected, and a suspicious player or a report is not proof that they cheated.
What EA’s figures do—and don’t—show
EA’s August 2026 Battlefield 6 metrics report 327,756 cheat or anti-cheat-tampering attempts prevented and 110 tracked cheat-related programs, hardware solutions, vendors, resellers, and associated communities through August. These are EA-reported measures of attempts and tracked activity, not a count of confirmed cheaters in matches.
The distinction matters: an attempt can be blocked before it affects a match. A player report is a lead for investigation, not a finding. Confirmed enforcement is a separate outcome, and none of these figures establishes the percentage of matches with cheating. EA’s metrics page was not retrievable when these figures were located, so they should be understood as the publisher’s reported totals, not independently verified statistics: EA’s Battlefield 6 anti-cheat metrics for August.
EA also says its Javelin anti-cheat system prevented 26.7 million cheat attempts across the EA ecosystem over the past year. That is an EA-wide figure, not a Battlefield 6 total. EA reports 99%+ cheat-detection accuracy and a stability error rate below 1%; those are vendor claims, not independently verified measurements. Its figure of 4.8 million players enabling Secure Boot after configurable requirements were introduced is likewise across EA’s ecosystem, not a Battlefield 6 player count. How Battlefield 6’s anti-cheat is meant to work
Secure Boot is a barrier, not a guarantee
Battlefield 6 uses EA Javelin anti-cheat, and EA says Secure Boot is required to play the PC version. Secure Boot adds a barrier and helps Javelin use certain detection signals; it does not prevent every form of cheating. During the 2025 Open Beta, AC of EA’s SPEAR Anti-Cheat Team wrote on the EA Forums: “On Secure Boot, I want to be clear that Secure Boot is not, and was not intended to be a silver bullet.” EA Forums post on Secure Boot and cheats.
Detection and defenses change over time
In September 2026, EA said Javelin had received hundreds of detection updates and included defenses against DMA-based cheating and input manipulation. EA also describes Javelin as operating at kernel level and running only while a protected game is running. These are EA’s descriptions of its system, not an independent security audit. AC wrote during the Open Beta: “Anti-Cheat isn’t one and done, it’s an ever evolving battlefield, and what has worked for us previously or in different games doesn’t always work in all of them.” That is an explanation of EA’s approach, not a measure of current cheating prevalence.

EA has pursued some tool-related content beyond the game
EA says it raised concerns with Collective Minds about third-party cheating tools associated with Cronus Zen and Strike Pack. After engagement, EA-related content and scripts were removed from public Cronus Zen and Strike Pack sites and a Discord server. This does not establish that every use of those devices is cheating, or that removing the content has eliminated the problem. EA’s update on taking the fight outside the game.
Is Battlefield 6 full of cheaters?
The available figures cannot answer that. EA’s reports show that its system encounters and blocks attempts, but they do not provide an independently verified estimate of the share of Battlefield 6 matches affected. A player behaving unusually may be worth reporting, but gameplay suspicion alone does not establish guilt. EA says it investigates reports and detection signals, and describes an appeals process as part of its safeguards against false positives and accessibility-related risks. How to report a suspected cheater
- Use the in-game report option when available. Choose the option for suspected cheating and provide the requested details. EA lists Battlefield 6 as supporting in-game reports; it says these reports can collect information useful to investigations and detection work.
- If you cannot report in game, use EA Help’s report-player webform. EA asks for the reason, the player’s username, and the date. EA Help: how to report cheating, harassment, and illegal content.
Report what you observed rather than presenting suspicion as a confirmed finding. EA says reports help its work, but an investigation—not the report itself—determines whether action is warranted.

The key unanswered question is how often cheating affects current Battlefield 6 matches. The EA figures cited here count prevented attempts and tracked cheat-related activity; they are not match-prevalence measurements. No directly comparable independent estimate of current Battlefield 6 match prevalence or independent audit of EA’s reported metrics is established by these sources.
