No—Battlefield 6’s campaign is single-player, not co-op. It contains nine missions. EA has not published an official completion time; GameSpot estimates about four to five hours on Normal, with optional exploration and higher difficulty adding time.
Does Battlefield 6 have campaign co-op?
No. EA identifies Battlefield 6’s campaign as a single-player experience, so you cannot play its story missions cooperatively with another person. The campaign’s AI-controlled squad does not change that: those characters are part of the single-player story, not co-op partners. EA’s Battlefield 6 FAQ and campaign guide describe the campaign as single-player.
The campaign and multiplayer share an interconnected setting, but they are distinct modes. The story follows members of Dagger 13, an elite US Marine Raiders unit fighting Pax Armata.
How long is the Battlefield 6 campaign?
EA confirms there are nine campaign missions, but does not give an official runtime. GameSpot estimates roughly four to five hours to finish on Normal difficulty. Treat that as a guide estimate, not a guaranteed playtime: your pace, difficulty, and time spent exploring or completing optional objectives can change the total.

How difficulty affects a playthrough
Battlefield 6 offers four campaign difficulties. EA recommends choosing based on whether you want a gentler story-focused run or a more demanding combat challenge:

- Battlefield 6 Phantom Edition (disc) for Playstation 5 contains the full game
- Battlefield 6 Phantom Edition includes Phantom Squad, Battlefield Pro Token, Shrouded & Drop Shadow Weapon Package, Chimera Vehicle Skin, Phantom XP Boost Set and more
- All-out war, fast-paced close-quarters combat, tactical destruction – Welcome to the definitive Battlefield experience
- THE NEW STANDARD OF FPS COMBAT: With overhauled gunplay and tactical movement, from crouch sprint to drag and revive, every shot and movement is more instinctual and precise
- MORE WAYS TO BATTLE: Victory, however you envision it; Seize glory in iconic, large-scale modes including Conquest, Breakthrough, and Rush; Fight in iconic locations all over the world including Cairo, Brooklyn, Gibraltar and more
- Recruit: The most forgiving option, suited to players who want to focus on the story.
- Normal: A balanced challenge; GameSpot’s four-to-five-hour estimate applies to this difficulty.
- Veteran: Intended for experienced players.
- Hardcore: The maximum challenge. Enemies deal significantly more damage than on Veteran, and the mode removes defibrillation charges and revives.
Higher difficulty can extend a run, as can searching for collectibles, pursuing achievements or trophies, and taking time with optional tasks. EA’s single-player campaign guide describes the difficulty options and their rewards.
