Yes. Battlefield 6 REDSEC has a dedicated Battle Royale Solos mode, not just an option to enter a team queue alone. However, Solos may not be available every week: EA has rotated it with Duos, so check the current in-game playlist before you queue.
What is Battle Royale Solos?
Battle Royale Solos is REDSEC’s individual free-for-all playlist: every competitor enters without squadmates. EA introduced the mode with the Season 3 Blastpoint update. Its June 1, 2026 guide describes the launch format as 80 players, with a faster-moving ring and rules adjusted for solo play.
How does Solos differ from other REDSEC Battle Royale queues?
| Queue | Team format | Availability |
|---|---|---|
| Solos | One player per competitor; 80 players in EA’s documented launch format | Rotates with Duos in EA’s documented playlist structure; check the live playlist |
| Duos | Two-player teams | Rotates with Solos in EA’s documented playlist structure; check the live playlist |
| Quads | Four-player squads | EA’s 2025 launch announcement described this format; current schedule not stated |
The 80-player figure applies to the Solos launch format documented by EA, not necessarily every later match. At launch in 2025, EA described standard Battle Royale as either 25 squads of four or 50 Duos, totaling 100 players. Those earlier formats do not mean that every queue remains available alongside Solos. EA’s REDSEC launch announcement and its May 28, 2026 playlist update provide that context.
What rules are different in Solos?
EA’s launch guide documents several adjustments intended for individual play:

- Main Battle Tanks and Infantry Fighting Vehicles are removed.
- Most missions are tuned for one player.
- Vehicle keycards and defibrillators are removed.
- There are no redeploy opportunities outside a Second Chance.
- The ring moves faster than in the standard Battle Royale format.
These are the documented launch rules, not a guarantee that every detail has remained unchanged through later updates. EA’s mode guide has the launch details.
Is Solos available right now?
Its existence as an official mode is established, but its active availability depends on the playlist rotation. EA said Solos would rotate weekly with Duos. The schedule published in May 2026 listed Solos starting June 9 and Duos returning June 16; those dates describe that historical rotation, not the playlist on October 8, 2026. Later August update notes added a Solos-specific tutorial, confirming continued support in the game materials but not which queue is active today. Check REDSEC’s playlist menu for the current option. EA’s rotation announcement and update notes document the schedule and later tutorial, respectively.
