Can you play CODE VEIN II with friends?

What does the Partner System do?
Partners are allies controlled within the game, not other players. Bandai Namco’s gameplay guide says, “You won’t have to explore by yourself as you’ll have powerful allies who can fight alongside you or enhance your abilities.” That describes the game’s companion system; it does not enable online co-op. How does it compare with the first CODE VEIN?

Platforms and solo-play details
Bandai Namco lists CODE VEIN II for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, and classifies it as Single Player.
