EA’s published FC 24 materials do not identify an official FIFA World Cup Career Mode. They document separate Manager Career and Player Career experiences, and EA later announced UEFA EURO 2024 content for FC 24. The FIFA World Cup 2022 mode EA officially announced was for FIFA 23. Players have reported a generic International Cup in FC 24 Career Mode, but that report is not confirmed by EA’s documentation.
What Career Mode in FC 24 includes
EA describes two distinct Career experiences. Manager Career centers on running a club; Player Career follows an individual footballer. EA’s launch materials highlighted Tactical Vision and Coaches for Manager Career, and a Ballon d’Or objective for Player Career. These are different ways to play a career, not separate versions of an officially branded World Cup tournament. EA’s Career Deep Dive and its FC 24 launch announcement describe those features.

EA’s current Career Mode support guide also explains the broad Manager-versus-Player distinction and squad updates. Because that guide covers the current FC series and was updated after FC 24 launched, its present-day instructions should not be treated as a complete guide to FC 24’s original menus.
Do not confuse the World Cup with EURO 2024
EA announced on June 6, 2024 that UEFA EURO 2024 content would come to FC 24 as part of the Festival of Football update. EURO is a European national-team competition, not the FIFA World Cup. EA’s announcement identifies the FC 24 tournament content as UEFA EURO 2024.

The officially announced FIFA World Cup 2022 mode belongs to FIFA 23: EA said it was available as an update for that game on November 11, 2022. That tournament offered 32 qualified nations and multiple tournament experiences. It should not be mistaken for a feature in FC 24 Career Mode. EA’s FIFA 23 announcement names the game and competition.
What players mean by an “International Cup”
Community discussion includes reports of a generic International Cup appearing in FC 24 Career Mode. That is anecdotal evidence, not an official confirmation of a FIFA-licensed World Cup or a guarantee that the same tournament appears in every career save, mode, or platform. The community discussion is best treated as a player report rather than definitive documentation.

So the careful distinction is: FC 24 has officially announced international tournament content for EURO 2024; EA’s published FC 24 materials do not identify an official FIFA World Cup Career Mode; and a reported generic cup should not be described as the licensed FIFA tournament.

EA listed FC 24 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Its launch announcement also says cross-play is unavailable on Switch and is limited to certain modes on same-generation platforms. Those details matter if you are choosing an edition to play with others, but they do not change which tournament is documented in Career Mode.

EA announced FC 24’s worldwide launch for September 29, 2023. Its launch release reported that 6.8 million players had played through Early Access, an increase of more than 25% over the prior year’s Early Access period; that figure is an EA-reported Early Access player count, not a sales total. EA’s launch release provides the date, platform list, and qualification for the figure.
