What PS5 firmware does GTA 6 reportedly require?
Gameguru Mania reported on October 3, 2026, that the PS5 store listing for Grand Theft Auto VI specifies system software 14.10.00.00. The report attributes the number to PlayStation Game Size, a third-party tracker of PlayStation Store data. It is secondary reporting, not a confirmation from Rockstar or Sony. A store listing requirement can change before launch. The available report does not establish that 14.10.00.00 is final, or that every copy or future listing will retain that requirement. Is this an official “secret update” or an anti-jailbreak move?
No. The cited report does not say Rockstar or Sony announced a special update for GTA 6, and it offers no evidence that Rockstar chose the reported version to block jailbroken consoles. Calling it an anti-jailbreak measure would go beyond what the report establishes.

Gameguru Mania also says public PS5 jailbreak support via the Relapse exploit stops at firmware 13.60, and that a console on that version would not run a build requiring 14.10 without updating. Should you update your PS5 now?
Do not update solely because of this unconfirmed report. Does the report mean you need a new console?
No such conclusion follows from the report. It concerns a purported system-software version requirement; it does not establish that GTA VI needs a new PS5, a PS5 Pro, an accessory, or a repair.
