The Eternal Blade demo is listed on Steam and Shibui Labs’ website for October 2, 2026, but an October 5 press release gives a different launch date. The game is a single-player action RPG set in the world of the Eternal Blade manga; its free demo is planned to include several regions, combat, stealth, and side activities.
When does the Eternal Blade demo come out?
Steam’s current listing says “Demo — Free October 2nd, 2026,” and the official Shibui Labs website also says the demo drops October 2, 2026. An October 5, 2026 press release distributed by EIN Presswire instead says the demo will launch October 5. No correction resolving the discrepancy is established, so the date remains unclear. Check the Steam listing or studio website for the latest announcement. The studio says players can also play the demo during Steam Next Fest, October 19–26, 2026.

What is included in the demo?
Steam describes a playable slice of the open-world RPG with four regions: Forbidden Forest, Kubu Forest, Fukushū Bay, and an extended open world. Its listing estimates 1–2 hours of gameplay and mentions a main quest, side activities, timing-based combat built around the Almighty Power Meter, stealth, crafting, cooking, fishing, hunting, and mining.
The press release gives a different breakdown: roughly one hour of main-quest content, more than two hours of additional side activities, and four bosses. Those are the release’s estimates, not a hands-on playtime measurement, and they do not match Steam’s 1–2-hour total estimate. The two figures should not be combined as if they describe the same scope.

How the game connects to the manga
Eternal Blade is set in the manga’s fictional world. The game follows Emerald as she seeks the Almighty Gemstones, wields the Eternal Blade, and tries to free her father from a curse. The manga’s official page frames her journey as an effort to save her cursed father from the Soulless Citadel.
The October 5 press release identifies James Fazio as the world creator, manga writer, and game developer, and Izaac Rodrigues as the manga artist who built the game in Unreal Engine 5. These roles are attributed to the release.

Where to read the Eternal Blade manga
The official manga page lists four chapters for online reading: “The Oracle,” “Hearing,” “The Last Descendant,” and “She Returns.” Shibui Labs has also announced Eternal Blade Volume 1, a first print volume collecting chapters 1–5, but the studio page does not provide a retail date or purchase link. It is therefore an announced collection, not a confirmed currently available purchase.
