Online co-op is unavailable. That means you should not buy the game expecting online matchmaking or a supported network session with a friend in another location. WB Games has not established whether platform-level remote-play or game-streaming features can simulate a shared local session, so that compatibility remains unconfirmed.
Do you need internet or an online subscription?
An internet connection is not required to play, according to the WB Games FAQ. Online access is needed to download game updates; that update requirement is separate from co-op, since the game has no online co-op mode.
