No: Litematica does not include a built-in survival printer. Its schematic overlay helps you build from a guide, but does not automatically place blocks. The Litematica project says a survival printer is not planned for the core mod; printer functionality is available only through separate extensions. Litematica project FAQ

What does “printer” mean in Litematica?

Players asking “Does Litematica have a printer?” usually mean a tool that automatically places the blocks shown in a schematic while they build in Survival. Litematica’s core features do not do that. Instead, the mod renders a schematic as an in-world guide and offers a material list and verifier to help with manual construction. The Litematica project FAQ says, “There is no printer for survival, and it’s not planned for Litematica itself.”

That distinction matters because Litematica does have other tools for interacting with schematics—but neither its placement guide nor its Creative paste mode is a built-in Survival printer.

How the Litematica options differ

Option What it does Main limitation
Schematic rendering Displays the build as a guide or ghost overlay in the world. It does not automatically place blocks in Survival.
Easy Place Assists with block-placement interactions. It is not the printer feature. Servers may reject the interactions or penalize their use.
Paste Schematic in World Places the selected schematic as a bulk operation. Requires Creative mode. On a server, it uses commands and requires permission to use them.
Third-party printer extension Adds printer functionality outside the core mod. Compatibility depends on the specific extension release and the Minecraft, loader, and Litematica versions.

Is Easy Place the same as a printer?

No. Easy Place is a placement aid, not a function that automatically builds the whole schematic for you. The Litematica project warns that Easy Place interactions can be rejected by server anti-cheat or may result in a ban. Check the server’s rules before using it in multiplayer. Can Litematica paste a schematic?

Yes, but paste is a separate Creative-mode workflow, not Survival printing. Litematica’s Paste Schematic in World tool mode requires Creative mode. In single-player, it places the schematic through the integrated server. On a multiplayer server, the operation uses commands, so you need permission to run the relevant commands. Do printer extensions exist?

The Litematica FAQ points to separate printer extensions by aria1th and aleksilassila. These are not part of the core mod. One linked repository describes support in terms of Minecraft 1.17, 1.18, and 1.19; that description does not establish compatibility with newer Minecraft versions or with a particular mod setup. aria1th extension repository · aleksilassila extension repository

Before installing an extension, compare its release information with your exact Minecraft version, mod loader, and Litematica version. The existence of a repository alone does not confirm that an extension is maintained, safe, or compatible with your current setup.

How to build manually from a Litematica schematic

  1. Load the file: Put the schematic in .minecraft/schematics/, then open M → Load Schematics and select it.
  2. Create a placement: Create one while loading the schematic, or select the loaded schematic and create a placement afterward.
  3. Position the guide: Open M → Schematic Placements → Configure to position or rotate it. The default Numpad Minus shortcut opens the selected placement’s configuration.
  4. Build from the overlay: Use the rendered guide and material list to place the blocks yourself. If you plan to use Easy Place on a multiplayer server, check its rules first.

The Litematica wiki documents the loading and placement workflow. Litematica schematic loading and manipulation wiki
