In that setup, OBS and the computer’s internet connection supply the video; shutting the computer down stops that source. Livepush receives and distributes the feed, but its documentation does not say it keeps generating the same live source after the encoder stops.
If your goal is to air prepared video while your computer is off, Livepush has a separate Pre-recorded Live workflow: upload MP4 files and start a broadcast immediately or schedule it. That is different from continuing an OBS-originated live feed.
Why an OBS stream stops when the computer shuts down
For an OBS broadcast, your computer is the source encoder. OBS sends the live video to Livepush using Livepush’s RTMP server URL and stream key. Livepush then distributes the stream it receives to the destinations configured in your dashboard. If the computer powers off, OBS can no longer send that feed.
Livepush’s setup guide instructs users to install OBS on the streaming computer, configure the connection details, and click Start Streaming. Livepush says the incoming stream should then appear on its dashboard. Its overview describes the encoder or publishing device as the source that sends content to the service. What you can do instead
Keep the OBS source running
For a live source coming from OBS, leave the computer, OBS, and its network connection running for as long as you want that feed to continue. Livepush’s workflow depends on the encoder supplying video.
Use a hardware encoder
Livepush says it accepts hardware as well as software encoders. That can move the encoding job off your computer, but it does not mean a powered-off source device can keep sending video. The reviewed Livepush documentation does not promise how a particular encoder behaves after losing power.

Broadcast prepared video with Livepush Pre-recorded Live
If the content is a recording rather than a live camera, game, or desktop feed, Livepush documents a separate workflow in which you upload MP4 files and create an immediate or scheduled stream. Check Livepush’s current plan and scheduling limits before relying on it for an unattended broadcast. The feature is distinct from an OBS stream: it uses uploaded video rather than a live feed being sent from your computer. The workflow is described in Livepush’s service overview.
What Livepush’s documentation does not specify
The official pages reviewed do not give an exact delay before an ingest ends after power or network loss, a reconnection grace period, or a guarantee about how each destination behaves when the source drops. If you need those operational details for a particular broadcast, ask Livepush support and check the destination platform’s guidance. Do not assume that a brief outage will preserve the stream.
