Yes. Marissa is a spirit and former songstress in the Pleasure House in the City of Tears. You can listen to her sing, and using the Dream Nail on her awards 1 Essence. Reaching her requires a Simple Key.
Where to find Marissa
Marissa is on the abandoned stage inside the Pleasure House, on the east side of the City of Tears. Look for the entrance marked with a Hot Spring sign; it is locked and requires a Simple Key. The City of Tears location guide also identifies the Pleasure House and its access.
What you can do with Marissa
Listen to her sing
You need the Dream Nail to hear Marissa singing. As the Knight approaches, she introduces herself and explains that crowds once came to hear her, but her audience gradually left. She then invites the Knight to listen. You can sit on the stage; her dialogue reflects how much it means to have an audience again.
The Pleasure House tablet describes her as “A voice to ease all burdens and still all troubled minds.” Marissa’s story and the tablet’s inscription are presented in the game as part of the setting and character encounter, not as a separate quest objective.

Use the Dream Nail
Dream Nailing Marissa gives the Knight 1 Essence. That is the encounter’s direct gameplay reward; listening to her is the optional character moment. The Marissa character page records her dialogue and the Essence reward.
Is Marissa required?
Marissa’s encounter is a small optional interaction rather than a quest chain. The available references establish her location, dialogue, and reward, but do not document a main-story completion requirement tied to her.
