Marvel Rivals introduced cross-progression account linking with Season 5. The official patch notes, published November 12, 2025, say it was fully available from November 14, 2025, at 09:00 UTC. That date has passed: this is a launched feature, not a future Season 5 promise.
What cross-progression means in Marvel Rivals
Cross-progression lets you access game progress associated with your account across platforms. It is different from cross-play: cross-play is about players on different platforms joining the same server to play together, while cross-progression is about account data across platforms. The official Season 5 patch notes announce account linking; the official release FAQ describes cross-play between platforms.
Which platforms does the official FAQ list?
The Marvel Rivals release FAQ lists Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, Epic Store, and Loading Bay. That FAQ was published on December 5, 2024, before cross-progression launched, so treat this as the platforms named in that FAQ—not confirmation that every current platform pairing or account combination is supported.
What to know before linking accounts
An account may already be bound
The official Marvel Rivals account portal offers Steam, Epic, Xbox, PlayStation, and NetEase sign-in options. It also warns that if a platform already has a bound account, you must log in to the corresponding game account to unbind it first. This confirms an existing-binding constraint, but the portal does not explain the full in-game linking process or what happens to data when accounts are unbound.

- Enjoy expansive cinematic sound. Big 50 mm audio drivers deliver an incredible sound experience
- Hear Enemies From All Sides. DTS Headphone:X 2.0 surround sound(1) lets you hear enemies sneaking behind you, special ability cues, and immersive environments. It’s positional clarity that can make the difference between victory and defeat. Experience three-dimensional audio that goes beyond 7.1 channels to make you feel like you’re right in the middle of the action. (1) DTS Headphone:X 2.0 requires Logitech G HUB Software.
- Be Heard Loud and Clear. The big 6 mm boom mic makes sure you’re heard by gaming partners and mutes when flipped up.
- Use One Headset For Most Game Platforms. Your headphones work with your PC or Mac via USB DAC or 3.5 mm cable, mobile devices with 3.5 mm cable or with gaming consoles including PlayStationⓇ 5 and PlayStationⓇ 4 (USB wireless stereo sound only), Nintendo Switch (wireless stereo sound when docked)
- Game for Hours in Comfort. Everything about these headphones is about comfort: The deluxe lightweight leatherette ear cups and headband are made to keep pressure off your ears. Ear cups rotate up to 90 degrees for convenience.
Check the current in-game controls
Use the current account-linking controls in the game for the actual steps on your platform. The official Season 5 announcement confirms that linking is available, but does not provide a complete step-by-step guide.
Do not assume inventories or account data merge
The Season 5 patch notes do not specify whether cosmetics, currencies, ranks, purchases, or platform-exclusive items transfer identically. They also do not establish account-merge rules or which account’s data is retained. Confirm the applicable rules through current official in-game guidance before changing account bindings; the available official information does not support promising a particular transfer outcome.

Discord linking is a separate feature
A July 11, 2025 official Discord notice discusses binding Discord to a Marvel Rivals character for social features. That Discord connection is not the Season 5 cross-progression account-linking feature.

Before Season 5, the December 5, 2024 release FAQ said, “Currently, account data between different platforms cannot be cross-progression.” The later Season 5 patch notes published November 12, 2025 changed that status: they state, “Cross-progression account linking is now fully available,” with availability beginning November 14, 2025, at 09:00 UTC.
