Does the Borderlands 4 ECHO-4 Bundle Include the Game?

No. The Borderlands 4 ECHO-4 Bundle is a collectibles bundle, not a game edition, and the game is sold separately. The official support FAQ puts it plainly: “NOTE: Borderlands 4 game is NOT included with ECHO-4 Bundle”.

Standard, Deluxe, and Super Deluxe are the game editions; the ECHO-4 Bundle is a separate physical collectibles purchase. The official FAQ says Standard includes the base game, with physical versions for consoles and digital versions for all platforms it lists. 2K’s store page describes Deluxe and Super Deluxe as base-game editions with additional digital content.

The ECHO-4 name can sound like a premium edition of the game, but it refers to the merchandise bundle. If your goal is to play, choose a game edition for the platform and format you want; buying the ECHO-4 Bundle alone is not enough.

Do you need to buy Borderlands 4 separately?

Yes. Buy Standard, Deluxe, or Super Deluxe separately if you want the game. 2K announced launch on September 12, 2025 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam and Epic; Nintendo Switch 2 availability followed October 3, 2025. The official FAQ confirms the exclusion but does not give a reason. It would be speculation to attribute it to platform neutrality, manufacturing choices, or any other motive without a statement from 2K or GameStop.
